NBA 2K14 Impressions (PS4/Xbox One)

Few days later, and I'm STILL enjoying this game on the court a lot. Except online, I played one game (Won by 12 against the Thunder with the T-Wolves) earlier today and KD was driving the lane and dunking through contact with consistently, and the 1-3-1 was tougher to pass against. But maybe I just need to spend more time to develop a different approach than CG. More than likely, the only online play I'll participate in are some sim games with the friends I got on the PSN from here, and sim leagues from here.

My actually enjoying MyGM and MyCareer a lot. Contrary to popular belief, MyGM feels nice and challenging. Its actually gonna be a bit of a grind to build my Sixers up, rather than just signing the best FA in the offseason because I have the money. I'm just having to completely tune out the crazy CPU trade logic, and make my own moves as realistically as possible. The draft was pretty nice and there were some late round sleepers.

I love the games graphics for the most part. (the weird lights that come from the middle of the upper level and not the roof). The Mycareer has let me down. While the cut scenes are cool the first time they get old fast and you cant have a gm sitdown. You cant edit your facial features or hair length. You have no idea when you decide what style you play (athletic, all-around, etc.) what the attributes are. Im really hoping that next year they scrap the scripted cheesy myplayer stuff and combine 2k13 and 2k14 mycareer features. I like the rival thing but it all just seems so cheesy... As far as gameplay goes it feels way better, the players actually move more lifelike. The only downside I see is that passing is a lot harder, granted I do play on Hall Of Fame. Sometimes the Computer players seem like they make really bad decisions, I will be wide open downcourt and they just pass it to someone else. Overall I love the game just wish they would have kept some little features in MyCareer.

I notice with some guys, their accessories color will automatically change for home and away. If you're the Nets, for example, Pierce will wear white arm sleeve/knee pad at home, and black on the road.

Other players will not tho. Why...it's anybodys guess. Lol smh..

And whats the point in editing a players weight if they're not gonna physically change? Last gen, if you made guys lighter, they got skinnier.

This is a damn good game on the surface, but 2K dropped the ball big time in many aspects.

This game needs a major patch. They need to bring back the create a player option. The mygm is nice but they also need to bring back the assasocation modes, it's easier to use. What happened to 2k share? They also need to fix the menu it's to hard to find modes on the game. With that said the game play is great, and so or the graphics.
