2K Halftime Announcer Damon Bruce in Hot Water Over Rant on Women

Its to late to make a new halftime this year, the game is already done .

The issue her is that you cant have an opinion. It doesnt seem like he said anything wrong to me.

What if a teammate got pregnant from another teammate or coach? given the rigourous schedule of the nba, time off for a baby birth? what owner is going to do that? people pay to see you play and you're out for a season. Not because you tore your acl, but because you're having a baby. I don't see that happening.

I think women belong in sports, I don't know why he said what he said. Some of the best journalists are women. Doris Burke and rachel nichols being the staples.

The halftime show is one of the better delivered parts of 2K. Damon sounds professional and authentic, and I always thought they did a good job adjusting what he said to the game action.

I'd rather have him than undetailed delivery by Barkley and Kenny if they're going to mail it in, and the more entertaining they try to be, the quicker it will be repetitive.

I wonder how it would sound with Ernie Johnson doing it.

And yes, the WNBA is boring. What?

I'm cool with female reporters, as long as they know their stuff and can carry themselves in a way that allows them to be taken seriously. There aren't many though, and I have to admit I enjoyed our local sideline reporter mainly because she was adorable. I'm fine with Doris Burke in game and in real life, almost because she's not really relying on her looks.

He seems to think that most female announcers are incompetent and no rules should be ever changed to be "less manly" by which he means that rookie hazing should include death threats and extortion of money and if you don't allow that then you've "feminized" sports. For a guy who makes his money by his speaking abilities he does seem to have a way of putting his foot in his mouth. And what makes him such an expert in sports when all he's ever done is broadcasting?

Truth is he's such an inconsequential part of the game whether he's good or not that if he was switched with someone else you'd hardly care. I wish they would just get the TNT rights in 2k already and go full on with the TNT style broadcast presentation.

Its not about orientation or race for me. Its about gender. I believe there is too much room for scandal. Granted there are women that can probably measure up in the nba, but I'm not sure that's a good idea. Think of the camaraderie of a team if a woman and a man were on the same team and involved in a relationship around the same time they get knocked out of the playoffs. It wouldn't look good for the league, it wouldn't look good for the players and the fans will **** on them.

I think a more healthy solution is strengthening women sports and making changes that help them. Softball imo is alot more entertaining than baseball. Women's tennis is a lot more intriguing to me than Men's tennis(even though men's tennis has been on the rise lately) The WNBA needs to do something to adapt to change. College Womens basketball is far more entertaining to watch.

I find whenever they bring up women in leagues to be an ultimate cop out. Feminists trying to make everything equal. Everything isn't equal. That's not how life works. Men are better in some sports then women and women are better in some sports than men. I don't think a solution to better a league is to say, hey I think we should add men(/women) to our league.

THE NFL should stay a Men's league
