So open your ey s and understand that a few different programmers would never make a difference. As long as we have th head hanchoes working there at EA Sports Tiburon right now, nothing will change like you think it's supposed to.
May want to re-read my posts and see what I'm suggesting sir.

You just agreed with me lol so maybe we both need to open our eyes???

It's not devs, the devs for Madden just don't get much support from the suits. Its like they said we bought the NFL license no need to worry about Madden it will sell off its name. Madden needs a new graphics, animation, and physics engine, a brand new football engine with the basics like foot-planting, gang tackling, wr/db interactions, blocking/line play, crowd and sideline interactions built in the core the engine. But the suits at EA won't spend the money on that kind of tech for the Madden devs. A mechcanic is as only as good as their tools.

It was proven several weeks ago with a picture there is a ref in the game.

I enjoyed the PS3 version, so if they fixed the issues that plagued the PS3 versions when compared to the Xbox over the years I'll be happy. I do agree with a lot of guys on here though that NBA2K14 looks amazing with what 2K has done when compared to what EA is showing.

A dev came over to Madden from the Show this year. How did that change Madden?
I agree and definitely think EA's leadership team is the root cause of the poor quality games. Across the board. Even with NBA Live, you had Mike Wang from 2k leave because "it became very clear that the vision [he] had for the game was different from where the leadership wanted to take it."

I think that's been the same with the Madden Devs like Ian Cummings or AJ Dembroski.

"My least favorite thing was also the size. Big company means lots of people that can make decisions. Like steering a big ship but 10 people all have wheels. I felt honored to be able to help shape the direction of Madden but I never really felt like I was in control. "

"Direction and priorities have changed with different leadership. Many features were added to Madden and then later cut...you didn't see that in the other games."

"It's sad that so many brilliant people at EA are held back by corporate structure..."

It's sad.

There is a ref on the field, and also a chain gang on the sidelines, that moves out of the way if you are running down the sidelines. I just posted some cliff notes about some of these things in the Press Row Podcast Living Worlds interview thread.

I can't solely place the blame on the idiots in suits. If Madden was immaculate at what at what it is supposed to be, then I could, but some things just don't function properly or look good. Now maybe we can blame the suits soley for not hiring the right men and women for the job, but I can't blame everything on them.
