If not, I wonder if the Lakers owner would get Dr. Jerry Buss or Jim Buss' personality profile.
He's obviously more Jerry Buss than the son Jim. Can't wait to see/read James Dolan and Mark Cuban's 2K14 interpretations. LOL

In the OP it says that it depends on the involvement level of your owner.

Yet, rarely do GMs in the NBA have complete control. They must adhere to the mandates of the owner. Pat Riley, R.C. Buford, Joe Dumars and their ilk don't do as they please. They take ques from ownership (budget, roster limits, etc), coaches and scouts to make informed and good decisions that fit their plan.

If not, they end up leaving or fired like Steve Kerr. Who was doing a good job in Phoenix, but ownership (Robert Sarver) had a different vision. He also wanted no part of the luxury tax.

That's why I love this mode so much. Having to really maneuver around what your owner wants, while still implementing your own vision is going to be an awesome task.

In NBA 2K14’s MyGM mode, every team has a unique owner that you must work to satisfy. Some owners will want to focus on turning a profit, while others will spare no expense to get a ring. There are even owners that will meddle in your affairs and try to override your decisions, depending on their Involvement level.
Wow this sounds pretty amazing. The first question that came to my mind immediately was: I wonder if the owners static or can they change based on how your team is performing?

Example: Let's say you're the GM of the Nets, obviously you're in "win now" mode to start the season. However, what if the wheels come off early and you start losing a bunch of games, Will the owner's focus shift away from getting a ring and look to have a "fire sale" and start concentrating on the future instead?

Sooo many possibilities, Soooo many questions. I can't wait to hear more.

Also, rarely do GM's have absolute complete control over rotations, ticket prices, and on-court play. Still, it appears we'll have all of those abilities in 2K14. I would merely request the option of being in control of my own destiny as well, as opposed to conforming to the whims of a fictional computer owner. I like the idea of playing games, setting up rotations for games, trading players, scouting prospects and dictating the direction of my franchise. That's all.

I really feel like if you give this mode a try you REALLY might like it. It's not like you have no control, in fact, you have full control. Just depends on your owner how much they try and intervene or undermine your decisions.
