then i would hate to see what it was like before the patch. this is ridiculous. If this wasnt an issue then i would not have an issue with this game.

I may be one of the few that's happy with the patch. The only reason is they took out the 'stuck in the mud' bug!!! Wow, now I can throw a toss sweep and NOT see my RB stop suddenly after receiving the toss, then accelerate as slow as a turtle and get thumped in the backfield every time!! WRs now catch in stride better as well. There is still a quick glitch that I can perceive when they catch the ball, but at least they keep moving. I think I'm going to have to tweak my sliders some now, though as this frees up the game a little more and does make it a little more arcadey and even MORE offensive than it already was. Tough to make this a defensive battle for sure. But, so far, I am happy without the 'stuck in the mud' glitch. That was the most annoying aspect of gameplay IMO. Now, if they can just improve THE HELL out of the AI, we'll make some real progress. Lol.

I almost want the "stuck in the mud" glitch back....it was about the only thing that helped to keep your rushing attack from busting 200 yards every game.

Haha, I feel ya, man. I actually finally decided to NEVER run a toss sweep after a few seasons of just infuriating animation, so the bug sort of stopped affecting me and yeah, I always gain over 200 yds/game rushing and have been tweaking sliders for awhile now and just can't find a solution. roughing the kicker set high really has the D flying to the ball, but then they start crashing the middle hardcore, I bounce it outside for big gains, so there must be something that helps keeps d players more in check, but I haven't quite found it yet.

You are incorrect. It is a known bug for the past two editions of Madden that if you only have 2 quarterbacks on your roster, your QB will NEVER leave the game. I know you claim that this happened to you, but this is highly unlikely due to the fact that you are literally the only person on the vastness of the internet to purport something different than this behavior.
