This is the same EA Sports that shells out big bucks for retired players and celebs to play flag football in Malibu - to promote the game.

This is the same EA Sports that takes over Times Square - to promote the game.

This is the same EA Sports that now chooses to reveal the newest, supposedly most advanced version of the cultural phenomenon that is Madden....on some guy's YouTube Channel?!

There's no embargo, dude. This is BIG BUSINESS. This a conscious decision to NOT show gameplay before launch. Someone said this in a meeting or on a conference call and that person's boss said "You're right, do it!".

Yes, apologists. "But SeventhWard, it's not Maddenoliday! This is November! They're not gonna blow more of their marketing budget to sell Madden 25 again!" Yeah, I hear you. However, let's agree that it doesn't take Sherlock Holmes to deduce that EA Sports is reluctant to reveal Madden 25's next-gen gameplay because it looks TOO similar to current-gen and they don't wanna tank their potential sales.

And EA, if I'm wrong, make me eat these typed words! I sincerely don't mind being wrong when I'm wrong! Reveal the game this week. Just drop a full gameplay video online, dudes. You guys have done it on previous Madden's...sometimes at E3 (several months prior to launch)...so why not this one? Ahhh yes - it's because there's no mystery here, boys. This is a conscious strategic gameplan EA Sports is running to preserve their sales because THEY ARE WORRIED that if we see this thing now, WE WONT BUY IT.

You can't keep changing leadership, and direction and expect to have a solid base. Madden has kinda been like the House, every 2 to 4 years, somebody new is in there and they are trying to do something different.

Call me crazy but the guy in the video adding nothing to what is already nothing. It's like peeing on poo.

Madden really caught my eye in 10. It felt like it was heading in the right direction. Then the horrid 11 came out. With their awful idea of Simpler, quicker, deeper or whatever it was (which makes no sense at all). EA's main problem with every one of their games is that they design it to be played in tiny intervals. It's the reason why the animations are fast, and why games feel pre-determined. I've said it before... but could you ever play a 15 min no accel clock game without it being 95-85? Could you play a 45 min half game in fifa?...etc.

NBA and MLB the show are the ONLY games that can be played to their real life counterpart times...and still represent the sport authentically. EA is obsessed with quick start ups and games. Reason why cut scenes are always short and why they have hesitated to move to real time presentation in any of their games. (NHL's and FIFA's are like half real time).

Nothing is ever DEEP enough for me when it is done by EA. Any new gameplay feature always seems very shallow. Like seen it once, seen it all. THey just need to seriously change their philosophy towards gaming. I'm hoping the vast appeal of NBA will sway their perspective soon.

but that is football games in general. i can go pop in nfl2k5 right now, put it on the highest difficulty and 15 minute quarters and i will score over 100 points guaranteed. the defense in football games has never been appropriate

This three-word mantra pretty much sums up why Madden has failed to deliver a good product from Madden 11 forward.

A modern sports game cannot be simultaneously simple and deep. It has to choose one game style over the other. The same dichotomy applies to quickness vs. deep. Both elements cannot successfully exist in one game.

It didn't work back when Midway tried to play both sides of the sports market with NHL Hitz Pro and NFL Blitz Pro. And it's still not working today for EA Tiburon and Madden.

Yet each year, Madden tries to be both simple and deep, despite the fact that the two game styles are philosophically at odds.

Indecision creates division. Division ultimately leads to collapse.

M25 NG videos are amongst the most uninspiring and bland NG media going around at the moment.

The guy points out stuff that is largely already in the current gen version. I can only come to the conclusion whoever it is writing these voice overs must have never played a Madden game in their life before.

I would honestly struggle to pick the NG from the CG versions based on these videos.
