In past years EA has flat out ignored certain modes (like franchise) because they didn't have the "time."

Really though they didn't want to spend, and that hasn't changed. Yes, sometimes it hurts a project to have too many people. But this game has SO many problems. Someone needs to figure out why plays run in 4 seconds in SuperSim, why the wind arrow is fail, why the sim stats are off, why auto subs fail, why punted balls bounce explosively, etc. Some of these problems could be fixed without people tripping over each other in the office if EA cared.

That's not even touching all the additions to the game that people would like, or the subtractions we'd like to see undone. Why has no one added back in real injury designations or formation sub menus, for example? Because having enough manpower to add sim features isn't a priority. Do you think Cam & Rex will use their vast personal fortunes to hire more good people to tune existing features, restore options we used to have, and do good QA work on this game?
This is what I was getting at asking if the entire team had been replaced. They're just not good at making football games, no matter the direction. Focusing on sim isn't gonna magically make them able to put out a (relatively) bug free game where all the features work as intended.

If you guys were hired by EA today as the GM, what would you say or do to assure people you were going to deliver a great product?

Actions are what matters. I would show them. Not tell them. We are less than 2 weeks from release and they haven't really shown us anything. Probably because they have nothing to show...

These guys weren't hired today. They could've started work on next gen 2 years ago, not released a game on next gen this year and put out madden 15 with 3 "cycles" of work and had a much improved product. I'm sure it wasn't their decision but that means nothing to me as a consumer.

The things they have in mind will have casual gamers furious.
Casuals won't be furious at a SIM focused, they just kick back and enjoy some football. Tourney guys, h2h for money guys are the problem and they get invited to community day ever year making sure the game doesn't take out user control. This dev team invited them down just like the last teams did.

True Step is for at most, 2 out of 22 on the field. I think that's from either less than 10% to less than 5% of the the players on the field depending on the circumstances between user and cpu controlled teams. They should have called it TrueStep 5%. We're suppose to be impressed with THAT? That's yours and JP's selling point of why we should be impressed? Let's see, going forward, at the current rate, that would mean we would have a TRUE True Step in 10 to 20 years. Now I know the 10-20 years is a little silly, but just trying to make a point. How can they advertise TRUE STEP as some amazing, game altering realistic feature, AND ONLY PROVIDE FOR 5 TO 10 PERCENT OF THE PLAYERS ON THE FIELD.

They do invite the tourney guys but it's after they've been working on the game and those guys are just playing it for fun.

The Sim Perspective guys and Ryan Moody also were invited and they are the guys who are constantly communicating with the devs about the game and giving feedback to the devs to help shape it.
