Why do people have to be one or the other?

...lol at this random bashing of the credibility of the GameChangers again. We just had this discussion. People wanted critics from YouTube to be able to give feedback on the game. EA brought them in, and now these same critics are pushovers who now no longer want the same sim things they wanted before.

Here is the problem, look at everything Madden implements that makes the game better. Now notice nothing seems to be as good as EA hypes it up to be. Physics is what everybody wanted. They gave it to us, right? Not exactly.

They added physics kind of. Weight, strength, and momentum don't seem to matter. Everybody can do everything everybody else can do. Where is the gang tackling? This was something that a physics less Madden 10 had. Tackling looked better in that game without physics that's bad. Where are all these new and never see it again tackling animations?

True step, cool feature, but again something not fully implemented. Why is it only the ball carriers and user controlled defenders?

Living worlds, why does the sideline look static? Why are people on the sidelines looking backwards and at the crowd? Why are the sidelines unreactive? Why did the Vikings fans in the crowd not react to the Peterson touchdown other than standing up?

My point is Madden will do something that sounds better in theory, but they fail to deliver in game. Is Madden 25 an improve over Madden 06? Why is this even a question? Of course it is. But how much has Madden improved over the last couple years? Not much.

The thing is people have accepted Madden's mediocrity so much that small improvements looks like a giant step.
Hobbs I feel u
Some guys can wait another 8 years for a decent football game
Madden 25 was decent in there eyes
I am done waiting for EA to get football right again
Little improvements year after year isn't cutting it for me and next thing u know this rev team will be gone and there goes another dev team crying gives them three years too

I've never said it's time to give them excuses or whatnot, I understand the frustrations, but I can see where the game is headed, slowly but shirley.
If you are referring to accepting mediocrity I wasn't referring to you. Was referring to people that just seem to accept it as it's okay.

I said they are filtered with what they say. They aren't speaking their minds like they used as far as WE can see. I didn't say they aren't simulation anymore. And just so you know some of the game changers don't play a simulation style game. Just watch their videos and you will see. There are a lot of game changers... I'm only referring to a couple.

Ok, I understand what you are saying, if you read or heard the interview from Rex and Clint last week, we know the direction they want to go in, but we also know it will take awhile to get there.

That interview was the first interview (besides the 2k comparison and tourney 200K mention) that finally had some candor on the direction and how long it will take to get there. I was happy to hear the first part, simulation, but not so happy to hear it will take a few years to get some things that are badly needed.

At least we have a direction and a time frame to follow. If they can't adhere to that, I'm not the only one that will blow up.

Well, yeah, but there are 5 million people outside this forum and other forums that accept mediocrity.

That's great JD, im glad they did improve the Dline/Oline animation gameplay. Imo I thought it actually looked better, still looks stiff but better. BUT... the one concern about EA and their staff of Dev's is, are they just going to work on one problem area each year??? What I mean is, it looks like they focused all their man power and talent in just one of the many issues that Madden has lacked!! Like for instance, is that all they can handle in a 1 year cycle??

That's horrible if you ask me.. So each year they will fix one thing that Madden lacks? Next up is what? CB/WR animations??? So by the time they get everything right there will be another Next Gen console coming out?? Its sad that this stuff should have been fixed a long time ago!! this is not new stuff, 2K has done this type of animations 10+ years ago?! How long is it going to take for them to finally catch up?? That's the real question.. People are getting tired of waiting for EA to finally catch up! When?
