Some of why I see here is impressive. I love the line interaction and the additional options for a pass rusher. I love how the helmet moves around realistically on the head that really helps realism. Graphics do look better just not quite as good as I expected after watching the e3 running stage demo. I'll def enjoy the game but I can't help but feel underwhelmed.

Right direction just a much slower pace than their competitors. It makes me feel like either they purposely hold back or the talent just isn't on par with, the nba 2k devs for example.

Then you can understand our frustration since you've been saying wait until next year or wait until Madden 15 for how many years now?

I get that you are telling us what you see, but it's been wrong for so many years now (and you've even admitted as much) that it is hard to hold much optimism.

Every year, for the last few years, I have hoped you would be right only to continue to be disappointed.

Again, I appreciate your optimism, I really do. I hope you enjoy it. But please, spare us the next year stuff until it actually happens. It's getting very very tiring...

I thought the player movement and physics looked good in backbreaker. But the player models obviously looked unrealistic and cartoonyl, along with the game off the field being just bad. Madden Game >>>>> Backbreaker game. But Backbreaker player movement and physics >>>>>> Maddens.

The physics were terrible for a football game. The guys fell like lifeless rag dolls. Whenever you got hit it was like being shot by a sniper. I don't like EA either but back breaker was junk.

You don't implement new features at 100%, you implement them, then build off of them and perfect them until you get them working near 100% quality.
They are the one touting these things!!

They are the one saying how the game will be full of emotion, and full of unique fans, and this and that and this and that.

You dont get to tout things to your customers, not deliver, and then expect them to not call you out on it or not be angry about it.

This is 100% on them quit acting like the customers should be patient and wait for yet another "next year."

Well, I still saw blocking happening perpendicular to the QB. Which is just odd. If you can turn to the right and go straight for the QB, why would you stand there pushing your blocker? Why not actually try to disengage to get to him?

It seems like they're still following the same formula of Win/Loss/Super-Loss for line interaction. It's not going to get any better until they get rid of that plan.

My initial expectations for Madden 25 next gen were extremely high, but then I was further informed about what to look for and watch for by some of the GC's I normally talk with.

Under Cam Weber this has been my experience:

Before Madden 13 was released I knew they were talking about trying to get some kind of physics in the game. Madden 13 releases and they unveil the Infinity Engine.

During Madden 25 dev cycle, shortly after Thanksgiving 2012, I was told they were working on improving the IE to cut down on the silliness, also working on footplanting and o/d line interactions, but with current gen they were doing the most they could with what they had to work with and wouldn't be able to really get those things right until next gen. This past spring, they said the same thing about the sidelines and crowds, couldn't do those right on current gen. I was also told about the pocket forming being something to look for on next gen.

Now with Madden 25 next gen we are seeing that, we're seeing them working on footplanting and o/d line interactions, formation of the pocket, 3d crowds and sidelines.

For Madden 15 I've been hearing that they are really going to blow people away and that Madden 25 next gen is just the foundation. I've also heard that DB/WR interactions is high on their radar and defense in general will be a big focus in Madden 15.

That's 2 years of consistency between what I've been told and what the devs have delivered. Cam Weber has been established as GM there for 2 years.

I fully expect this to continue to be the case as long as Cam is GM of EA Football.

What happened in the years prior to Cam Weber happened, but I don't judge that anymore. I'm only judging this game based on what I'm being told and what I see in the product under Cam Weber's direction.

This is Rex Dickson's first year as Creative Director, in recent interviews he said things like WR/DB interactions, physics, animation quality, and core gameplay were the high priorities for the near future. Let's see if that ends up being the case next year or just empty promises. I'm extremely confident that those will be the focus just like he said.

For the last few years as you can see, there has been a direct correlation between what I have been told and what was delivered. If I'm being told right now that Madden 15 will blow people away, then that is what I expect it will do.
Anything on penalties and the challenge system ? When do they expect to work on that ?

Exactly. There seems to be no grey area in this aspect. You either win or lose, when in real life there is so much more to it. And we all know how EA overdoes everything they implement so you end up getting sick of it after a couple games. I have a feeling this is how the new blocking is going to work. After a few games, you will already have seen it all.
