Absolutely we need both, but I'm just saying if it's going to be one or the other for NOW, then I'll take player movement. In the future we definitely need to have both.

Not impressed.

Line play in real life is much more of a struggle, with guys fighting and clawing their way to the QB, falling over, tugging at jerseys, taking a swipe at the ball when they can, pushing bodies and moving and shaping the pocket, etcetra, etcetra...

They didn't really capture that at all. It's still appears to be pretty much win or lose. Win = the defensive player gets by the blocker. Lose = the defensive player gets blocked. It's just not that simple in real life.

This has been one of the worst aspects of Madden for years now, and why playing defense is so boring.

But what are the respective departments for? Clint constantly answers questions with "well thats not my area of work..." etc. Did the visual guys only work on grass and faux-living sidelines for 2 years?

Man such a conundrum for me.

Never before have I wanted a game to so badly succeed and yet miserably fail at the same time.

I want them to succeed so we can have a game that plays like real NFL football, but perhaps for that to happen they actually need to fail and look at why the game isn't selling good. Ugh.

I just want old Madden back. You know, the Madden where you actually got punished for picking a bad play and got rewarded for picking a good one. The one where every play was like a chess match and you could feel the importance of every yard. Where adjustments and matchups on the field actually meant something.

So frustrating is this series and what's it become.

Alright, before the piling on continues to keep piling on, I do know that JP get's his sources from Twitter. He is constantly asking the CGer's(and these are well respected CGer's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) the questions and doubts we have at OS.

These are the answers they are giving him. For instance, I noticed one person, state didn't you listen to the podcast, Rex said they are building a foundation of game play first and then adding in the bits and pieces around the foundation.

That maybe Groundhog Day over and over again for all of us, but, until another developer or team comes in, we aren't changing the way the have their game plan set.

It's discouraging how slow the process is, no doubt.

Madden 25 next gen is just getting the code in place, I think Kolbe will get the crowds on par with what he did with MLB The Show and possibly exceed that.
Why announce as a feature if not complete? I'd Rather not been told about it if put in half assed. Can u tell us the one feature implemented this year 100%?

The old 2k/madden wars may linger but have pretty much dissipated. People just want to play football which is why you couldn't be more wrong.

People here are passionate because they want Madden in the WORST way to succeed.

I remember in college I had Madden 05 on constantly. In between classes I was playing, listening to Bruno, checking depth charts, etc. It was one of the most immersed games I have ever played.

I never played 2k so spare me the trolling nonsense that people don't want it to succeed.

I want to get back to fully being immersed in the game which I haven't been for a while.
The college kids still play Madden are immersed. We go to visit our son and that's all you hear from the dorm rooms and tournaments being held.

I know what you mean, though.
