No interest in MyTeam, MyCareer, or Online (in it's current state).
Because it just sounds like LOT of work. So much work it takes the fun out of it, you know?

Some people love to take a "world" and run a simulator to recreate a complete experience.

It is a lot of work but that work is the fun for many people. For others it is the same as painting a painting - except this painting is a recreation of the league and its happenings.

The only concerning part for me as a MyPlayer/MyCareer user is the whole "40hrs of gameplay in your first season" talk. It sounds like a more fleshed out version of SCEA's The Life mode in their game. Which was cool and all but not what I have grown to love in the 2K MyPlayer mode.

I also have no interest in MyTeam and Online. And I also like putting "work" into the game, but more from the classic rosters and current accessories & shoes angle. I'm definitely drawn to in-game authenticity so while it all does take some solid time and effort, there's a great pay-off and it doesn't feel any more like work than playing any other aspect of the game.

I can most certainly see where multi-team Association users are coming from. My best Association experiences were those where they closely mimicked real life, at least through season one. Controlling all 30 teams most readily allowed that replication.

Regardless, I'll be curious to see where the MyGM thing goes. I'm hoping it doesn't take on too much of a storyline feel, where the focus becomes MyPlayer-esque but from the stance of a general manager. I'd like for it to feel like I'm simulating an NBA season, not experiencing a storybook about an NBA season.

No preset storyline in MyGM. It's the new Association with a plethora of new concepts and challenges that are as dynamic and dependent on the whole league's actions as everything has been so far.

I'm a HUGE fan of modes like Association and MyCareer. But this game isn't enough PFM or WoW to make me play those modes. So, I'll take your word for it.

Re: NBA 2K14: Next-Gen Details on Gameplay, AI, New Modes and more!

I don't understand why people are complaining about people complaining. Most people should understand this is the first year and everything is definitely not going be perfect with all of this new stuff, but I have no problems with people complaining. Even though it's kind of funny how some of the same people that was trashing Crew and basically saying "Take what you can get and stop complaining, as long as they tried" is the same ones in here complaining. But, even though I don't care about playing with more than 1 team in Association, I feel where some are coming from.

I feel like complaints are good sometimes, just a way to show 2K you aren't pleased with the changes. Changes really wouldn't happen without them. Even though I feel like some people should wait and see how it is because I believe a lot of people will be shocked how good it is, but don't mind them expressing their concerns asap.
