Sorry, but you have no idea what you're talking about. Do you know how long it takes to make a game nowadays? Especially games as big as the games we're seeing nowadays. For the record, pretty much every game you got from the last gen was a port! Maybe 1 or 2 original games, but they had years of dedicated work beforehand. Yeah, you need to make an impression. That's true. But there aren't too many games out during launch. Frankly, people are kind of forced to take what's there. Good or bad, games get bought. And MOST system launch titles are bug ridden messes. I expect the same to be true this time as well. You second statement: why would you port over? Uh, because you have a starting point to a game and you can get a game out faster with that starting point. If your **** is right, there's no NEED to not port if your engine is built to be EXPANDABLE. So why hold back? Because you have no choice. This stuff isn't easy and isn't free. It's not holding back, it's doing what you can with the time you have. You sound as if you think new consoles are given to folks with no issues.
