Secondly, you got a new system with hardware that is so much more advanced and better. Why would you port it over? You practically HAVE to start from scratch, because the end result will be satisfying for everyone involved, especially the end user. You can do so much more. Why hold back?

I was completely ignoring NBA Live since I don't know what to expect and with 2k I know exactly what I am getting. Now I am not so sure.

Again....I'm not trying to suggest it will be bad....but not every change is for the better. Madden changed their engine going from original Xbox to Xbox 360 and it was not for the better....

Now I am crossing my fingers and hoping to hear some positive words about the gameplay.

Peace.
By the way they explained the new engine I think the game will play the same as in we will know its still 2k but they said it was mainly for the physics and something else if im not mistaken. So it doesn't seem as though they totally scrapped their old engine but rather improved and added other aspects to it? In the trailer we still see old dunk animations. Im sure someone else can be more clear b/c we have gotten so much info that, im not.

They do have better experience of moving to a new generation of consoles and they can do alot with next gen so I would think it will still be better than what we see current gen.

I just hope they finally took the comeback code out of this game, and off ball defense, and guys making shots all the time with a hand in their face. And realistic fair gameplay.

All I need to hear is that we can customize ROSTER files like RED MC within (or via PC from extracting the saves, hope we can get that) or no buy. I can't live without the ability to have high quality mods and accuracy if the rosters can't be modded/used outside Quick Play. (And if someone says, "USE PC!" Well, some of these roster makers in OS are super talent and spend a lot of time in detail, not saying PC users don't, it's just, OS has a lot of good simulation-playing read, in-depth rosters + modding console rosters is super enjoyable and I encourage people to create their own mods with it)

Ive been really blown away by this game, but if this game doesn't have the offline Customization options that it used to have, then thats a major bummer.

I was furious when EA did this with Madden, because I knew it would take forever for them to get that stuff back in and in a functional state.

2k has built up enough good will with me over the years that Ill give them the benefit of the doubt and believe this is more of just a short term thing due to a new console launch

To me this is like being forced to only stay on the main roads and standard story missions of GTA V.
