On top of their improved GM logic, this is going to be a fantastic mode.
Probably will be, but I'm going to miss screwing teams over like RL, controlling every event and basically creating a story. My 2K13 association was a 30-team controlled association where it had had the Kings move to Seattle, Cleveland rising, Miami getting screwed, and I managed everything around single thing.

It's just boring that I have to use myGM and choose a team. I want to create an elaborate story and also at the very least get the right future picks to the right teams before I start.

....and this is exactly what I mean. Everybody wanting everything in a 1st year iteration.

Dudes want a new engine, everything and more from the last time, and they want all of the bells and whistles too, along with a current gen game, all in what 9 months, with no bugs and every mode from the last 4 years.

This is exactly what im talking about. Its just ultra unrealistic to have it all at this point in time.

Are you for real?

Who the hell would port a game over to a next-gen console? First off all you need to release a really good, impressive launch title if you don't, you are making a huge mistake and make a fool out of yourself.

Secondly, you got a new system with hardware that is so much more advanced and better. Why would you port it over? You practically HAVE to start from scratch, because the end result will be satisfying for everyone involved, especially the end user. You can do so much more. Why hold back?

Yikes, that's kind of harsh, no? There's been talks about adaptive A.I. and coaching tactics for years and it's never been perfect. My guess is the next gen will offer another level of adaptive A.I. and coaching tactics but I'm still not sure if I'm ready to assume rotations and draft choices are going to be great now.

Further, I feel as though disabling trades is not solving the problem many folks have. Player movement in and of itself is a very realistic part of an NBA season. However, the player movement 2K has showcased in the past has been questionable at best (i.e. the Cavs acquiring Chris Paul to backup Kyrie Irving at point).

Again, it is to be assumed that logic will receive a boost. But it can also be assumed it'll likely still have its pocks. As such, the inability to control all teams removes the ability for many gamers to create the authentic experience they're looking for.

The world isn't ending, but the "you people" line seemed like a little much for folks bummed about the possible absence of something they very much valued.

Thank you sir. Honestly appreciate it. Now that I see the link, I remember it. I must have assumed he was referring to current generation 2K14.

Trust me man I feel you, I really do. Some of you guys really go in depth with this 30 team control. I myself enjoyed reading some of the stories.

I just think guys are being a bit too critical on the outset without giving this mode a chance. I promise you guys will really enjoy this mode if you give it a try.

Yeah, no custom music will make me sad. I wonder if it's even possible on the new systems?

Other than that, I'm pumped for 2K. Definitely preordering. Makes me sad they can't do an NFL game...

I think they assumed most were smart enough to make the connection and didn't need to have every single thing spelled out for them.

Kinda sad too. They [seem to have] went WAY above and beyond what most people would've expected from a first time next gen effort - especially when considering they did a somewhat beefy current-gen release in the same year. But we're going to spend a ton of time having to listen to people complain/emphasize the few things they didn't like versus giving credit for the avalanche of things that sounded good. The nature of the sports hardcore sports gamer I guess.
