I just refuse to pay good money to play this garbage any longer EA is incapable of capturing the NFL experience like 2k did eight years ago.
Although this is football, seeing what's going to happen with the new gen games, I can't help but get frustrated that if only one company makes the game why isn't it outstanding. I cool off till I see another company pull off what I always expected could be. I. E. The show, why is t all of EA games that nice to look at?, or 2k depth, and gameplay, why isn't EA coming close to realism. After watching Marchmadness tonight. I felt like damn. I can't even Play college and use Duke or Wiggins. This is crazy how they don't produce what the ppl want. Then what they do produce is lackluster. Overhypee and always looking toward next year. Instead put the game out in intervals and support it through DLC. If you can release games digitally, you can support through DLC. IT'S BULL. oh. It's bull. College games are necessary cuz you see cats 1-4 years. Undefeated seasons, records and most of all. David vs.Goliath, or A Super 5 star kid every once in a while. EA is knocking down buildings in BF4 but in Madden and Live the games look and play so far from the real possibilities. We have to take it cuz no one else is making the game. This is wack as ....

Love the war in the trenches part, but they really need to completely rebuild dropback and throwing animations.

One thing I still notice is the touchdown celebrations still look stiff and the player is always alone with everybody else blured out eh

Bro, I swear to you, I thought I was the only one seeing that!! It's almost like they are hovering over the grass but not really. Like their feet aren't going into the ground like a real life human being would. Almost like it's no gravity pulling him to the ground.. Soo glad someone can verify that I'm not trippin!

Its just sad even in next gen we are still dealing with basic issues with madden such as running. Video evidence still displays to this day signs of tron jogging, humming bird movements, floating, and skating not good. Other games have already established the basic fundamentals and shift focus towards more detail oriented aspects of their game. It's just difficult to get excited about a fundamental part of the game they claim is fixed by calling it something new buzzword true-step, only to see its actually not. This should have been done on current gen and now this is taking up so much of their development and we still haven't seen the things we actually need this far into gaming gang tackling, wr/db interactions, player specific animations, correct qb drop-backs, release points Just to name a few. And while the new blocking shows signs of improvement many legacy issues are still present.

Everyone is so caught up about how the players run, and the true step, but the fact of the matter remains that players in Madden don't walk like real people. They don't jog like real people. They don't sprint like real people. And they certainly don't run like real people. And all of that stuff goes into play when it comes to the immersion factor in the game.

One little thing I always like in 2k was how speed and weight always came into play for the gamer. So if you caught a long pass and no one is around you, your player would slowly ease up on his speed, almost to a jog, and then look around and slowly walk in for a touchdown with smug joy.

Is that something that's gonna make or break sales? No, but it looks and feels real. And as someone else aptly said here recently, realism = fun.

They need a new animation engine, as long as they keep using this dated/broken animation engine not much will be different. Its impossible to achieve realistic movement with this engine, thats the bottom line. Next-gen Nba 2K is using the same animation engine from this gen, and it still moves more realistic than Nba Live 14, that should tell you something. If Nba Live 14, who has been working on their next gen release for a few years in the face of competition can't get fluid movement, then you know Madden is never going to have it unless they use a new improved animation engine, and thats highly unlikely.
