Man, the game will be a success if it is animating (without major bugs) smoothly and has an above average dynasty mode. Those are the things that will keep people playing.

Dribbling is just an icing on the cake factor.

It was NEVER an issue with the Live series. Never.

Sad day when we give a game credit for dribbling. My man Boozer can rocket dunk from the FT line but he has a sick handle to get there?

Nah.
I'm not saying Live 14 will be a success as a GAME if they just nail dribbling. It will be an abject and abysmal failure. Make no mistake about it.

What I'm saying is that Live's developers will have succeeded for *themselves* by accomplishing something that gives them a fighting chance at making a decent product years down the line, even if they totally fail their customers (and should rightfully be shamed for doing so).

Problem is, if it's a failure as a game, EA might just cancel it again and they won't be able to build from that foundation.

Seems moot though because Nash looks terrible dribbling in the latest teaser video.

Look at when Nash goes into a weird sped up hunchy, jerky animation right when he gets contact and before they cut away to hide it.

His body language is also completely lethargic and he does a small, robotic turn in place on one foot on his way to the hole. The latter is somewhat expected in a video game, but this wasn't what I expected with "BounceTek".

It looks nothing like the Kyrie videos. Not just because it's Nash or sig styles. It just looks... bad.

Are you sure about that? For the longest time, 2k struggled financially. And with the rising costs of making games, margins are even smaller now. I don't think Live 10 made a profit. That's why EA flipped out and made the call on Elite. If it did make money, it apparently wasn't enough to satisfy EA.

Live 10 sold around 900k copies while 2K10 sold around 2.2 million. According to VGCharts.

2K13 sold over 5 million copies. The production costs on 2K11, 2K12, 2K13 and 2K14 on current gen probably haven't been very big.

You're right, cause that's very low, considering how many platforms nba 2k13 is on, PC, PS3, Xbox 360,PSP,Wii, Wii U

FIfa does 6mil in a week, less even, worldwide
