I'm not going to play this game, i'm not going to even give it a second look. What i'm saying is, they'll actually have time to develop a real next gen game for Madden 15. Whether it will be good or not is all up to them. I doubt it will be sim, I believe it will be the same dog and pony show. What i'm saying is, i'll judge them on a TRUE next gen scale with Madden 15.
I know what you were saying. I'm just so tired of seeing "next year" or "next game" at some point we need to either get a good game or another company to make one.

Did I say anything to the contrary?

Again, what does that have to do with the NFL? That was your point of contention.

I don't know if you are aware, but your avatar is broken.

I think we're all tired of it, as evidenced by this thread. I'm obviously just as pissed as everyone else is about what we're getting in a month. Which is why i'm not going to play it. I'll see what they offer next year, and if it's not up to par again, I simply won't play it.

Now if others follow suit, that's all up to them. It's the only way EA will ever learn, but too many people love the game of football to pass it up. Especially on their next gen consoles.

This was EA's last chance with me. I don't think I'll be following them over to Next Gen. It's kind of amazing that 2k will have a better football game now TWO generations removed from EA's current offering. What a shame.

We all are, we are all on the same side here.

Yea, the guy that hacked the site Saturday changed it. Just haven't gotten around to fixing it yet.

The problem is that we only make up a very small amount of the market. Everyone on OS could not buy Madden 25 next gen and it still wouldn't hurt them enough to make a change. The casuals will always blindly by the game because they need their football fix and updated rosters. I don't think we can ever win that way. We just have to hope EA changes their vision or another company will be allowed to make an NFL game. That is the only hope.

Re: Madden NFL 25 Video - MNF Simulation: Colts vs. Chargers (Xbox One)

Iv'e said it before, and i'll say it again. As long as online play dominates this game, EA will NEVER give us a truly sim game.

It will always be wide open, unrealistic gameplay where the defense is hampered. Because online players love the big highlight reel play and scoring points.

The tackles will always look over the top and ridiculous.

The jukes, spin moves, catches and animations will continue to be subpar. Want to know why? The online crowd doesn't mind when they can truck a defender, hurdle, spin, and then juke their way to victory, they thrive for that.

Presentation will continue to be unbelievably bad. Why? Because the online and tournament player doesn't want real time presentation, replays, cutaways and things like that cutting into their playing time.

It's a sad fact, but EA makes this game for the online/tournament player. Until that changes, don't have any hope of ever seeing a truly sim game, especially not in terms of presentation
