Looks decent. I hope they have sports center highlights like this in the game. That would be hot.

Gotta start somewhere.

I would imagine they have, otherwise this would be another fail in this game, IMO. EA paid a lot of money for the ESPN license and i have yet to see they properly use it in a game.

And they haven't this year, and probably will continue to not use it. With the Madden devs, they want their own unique presentation in the game.

Can't give their customers realistic presentation, that would be giving us what we want! They'd be crazy to do that.

Back in the day 2K wasn't a big or popular name, but now I would say 2K is just as popular a name as EA is. NBA 2K has made a big name for 2K. 2K also just picked up the WWE games. The company is expanding and making a name for themselves. I don't know if you have seen the casuals comments on the next gen footage but they are as outraged as we the sim community are. NBA 2K is highly regarded amongst fans. At this time a 2K football game would definitely be able to compete with Madden. Back in the day 2K didn't have the name they have now. Times have changed and I would be willing to bet people would jump on the 2K bandwagon. They see what 2K has done for basketball and they are also getting tired of Madden. As a combo that is exactly what 2K football can take advantage of.

As if this whole thing couldn't get any more bizarre, look at these tweets from Phil Frazier, former executive producer for Madden.

Owen Good@owengood 1h ESPN corrected me, said they did not reupload today's Madden next-gen video. I asked why they took it down. They told me to ask EA Sports.

Phil Frazier@Fillycheze 47m @owengood That footage is clearly 360. My guess is the capture team didnt realize they had to use X1. It was probably pulled for that reason

Owen Good@owengood 38m I honestly—hand to God—thought ESPN had screwed up this morning, and used Xbox 360 Madden footage, calling it Xbox One.

Phil Frazier@Fillycheze

@owengood This is not far from reality. EA probably marked it as X1 footage by mistake. Pulled it because it's not. That's 360 for sure.

.@Fillycheze But here's Saints-Dolphins, week 4 on ESPN. Description: "Yes, that is next-gen technology at work." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0SE3wLTZDtM …

Phil Frazier@Fillycheze

@owengood I dunno. That was added by ESPN. Very possible they thought it was next-gen. Strange that there is no X1 watermark on wk 4 footage

I don't believe that for one second, why? Because current gen the helmets do NOT shine like that at all.

No one is questioning that fact. What some of us are saying is this, can 2K afford another partnership with the NFL? Will the NFL actually end it's relationship with EA?? Will the NFL even want to do another partnership with 2K??

EA is a giant company, 2K is big, but nowhere near the level of EA. EA can comfortably afford an NFL license, no one knows if 2K can or not. We don't even know if 2K still has the resources to even attempt to make another football game.

The NFL LOVES it's relationship with EA, they're raking in big bucks, and contrary to what a lot of people believe, the NFL does not care how realistic this game is, as long as they're not painted in a bad light.

Also, let's not forget one of the reasons the NFL started this partnership with EA in the first place, 2K made them pretty mad selling 2K5 for $20, we have to question whether they would even want to work with 2K again.

I know guys are upset, and I know guys want another football game, but it's time to start thinking realistically
