I don't play shooters and to be honest I buy consoles soley based on my love and commitment to football games...I play other sports games but Football is the only reason I game at all. So...no matter what you read from me here I'm disgusted at the fact that I really believe there is no hope...Not having hope is a bad place to be. I applaud guys who still have passionate anger and hope...But when you come to the realiztions that I have I will have a warm seat for you here on the NO Hope for Madden Express train to Football purgatory.

not to go to a 2K football vs Madden football thing but they really could be summed up in 2 words each..


Madden NFL Football = herky jerky vs. NFL2k/APF2k = silky smooth

Just the simple example of the 2 outside rushers getting forced by the qb in the 2k video was a thing of beauty. It was a pocket that I see every Sunday. I have never ever seen that in madden.

Looks like current gen with updated uniforms (something that really should have been in the current gen edition anyways). Not impressed.

That being said, as long as they fix most of the CCM bugs I will probably buy it no matter how small the other changes are.

lets cut to the chase...If EA gave a rats *** what you, I and countless other thought about the football genre they would have immediately emulated everything 2k did 7 years ago...They would have hired a few of those guys and had a grand plan to combine the best of both games to make sure they make most consumers happy. Now that I've made you imagine that alternate Universe...Back to real life...EA don't care what we want at all...They will never care...Economically Madden is doing everything they need it to do.

As soon as we are fed up and actually stop buying and posting on forums criticizing their game...There will be a new crop of consumers who are only 7 years old now but they will have 30 years to break them down just like they have done with us.
