My guess is that they needed the space on the disk for the PtG mode. Just as the Euroleague teams replaced the Olympic teams (both in space and function) the Path to Greatness took the place of Create a Legend.

I'd not be surprised if next year's cover athletes don't have their own specific "Path to greatness" stories. Imagine having Chris Paul on the cover and then having his path to greatness next year. Then the following year you'll see Paul George, etc.

Edit: The NG systems supposedly have more space for storage so for the NG titles I bet they will have more modes.

Finally i'm happy of the triangle offense in NBA 2k11, 12, 13.
I discovered yesterday night in 2k13 Lake Pin Hugh a mid range play of the Lakers 2013, it is a good triangle.

Could you tell me if there is other new triangle offense in the playbook of the classic bulls, or if in current team, you can still find in the lakers 2014 or other teams, the same triangle or improved or new play using the triangle?

Thanks.

This year that won't be the case, unless something has changed in the last month. 2K put out that info over the summer listing what's in what versions and next gen is without a couple - no my team and I think they'll miss out on crew? Can't remember exactly.

Another victim of 2K's casuals/VC oriented design direction.

No idea why CAL needs to be removed. To make Path to Greatness look more special?
Didn't they fix the coach mode/VC points in the patch? They didn't have to completely remove it.

Re: NBA 2K14 Hands-On Impressions and Q&A (PS3)

I owned 2K12 and really enjoyed it. I skipped last year's though.
The one thing in 2K12 that had me frustrated is the slow animations.
If I was on a breakaway and went in for a layup, the animation would kick-in. But because of how slow it played out, a defensive player was able to speed-burst past me and block the shot.

Have the animations been sped up at all in 2K14?

Even though I'm not a huge fan of basketball (can you tell with my horrible terminology?), I really enjoyed 2k12 and all that it offered. I'm interested in picking up 2K14 and going through another My Career (best mode in the business IMO).

Thanks!

Thank you for taking the time to answer questions. Any new dunk or lay up packages that you notice while playing?

Can still make those changes.
