EA Sports Will Not Publish College Football Game Next Year, Future Plans in Doubt

Not surprised by this 1 bit. Didn't buy the game the past 2 years because I was tired of buying a mediocre game and I wasn't expecting much for this on Next Gen with all the teams & conferences backing out of licensing deals but maybe once college players start getting paid we'll see a return of this. I'm disappointed a little because of how much I used to play NCAA and how I grew up playing it but honestly i'm not really that upset because of how mediocre the game was on the current gen and how bad the developing team was. I'm glad i'll never have to watch Ben sell us on a mediocre game again that's for sure.

I remember that long thread when NCAA announced it was separating from EA sports games a lot of people, including site admins, said "nothing is changing," and basically carried on about how it wasn't a big deal. Now, of course, EVERYONE "saw this coming."

Honestly, the only ones who DIDN'T see this coming were those were just holding out hope that this wouldn't actually happen. Common sense told you this was coming. You don't just start losing the backing of the NCAA and conferences and schools and not expect everything else to spiral from there.

No, I am talking about all those threads in general. I remember the school/conference thread people said they would just use generic schools instead.

Bottom line, not worth debating this.

The news is sad. I know it is unlikely but I pray they support NCAA 14 as much as they can and put out a good patch or two

Maybe just maybe since this is the last ncaa game for the foreseeable future, they will give us the facemasks we wanted and anything else as a gratitude to us the ones who bout the game year after year.

I just hope they continue to do uniform updates/etc. It's in their best interest too, why not squeeze out every last dollar?
