Forza Motorsport 5 Features Bathurst Track

The Mount Panorama Circuit at Bathurst (New South Wales, Australia) has been announced as a playable track for the upcoming Forza Motorsport 5. Expect to see it on shelves November 22nd, when the Xbox One officially launches.

Here is what Creative Director at Turn 10 Studios, Dan Greenawalt had to say.

In addition, the timing couldn’t be better to finally bring Bathurst to the Forza series; with ‘Forza Motorsport 5’, we’re able to bring the circuit to life in a way that nobody else can. “Through the use of cutting-edge technology like laser-scanning and our new materials-based graphics engine, we can now precisely reproduce the characteristics of every corner, straight and detail to sub-centimeter accuracy; from the narrow twists and turns of the Esses, to the thrilling rollercoaster sprint down the Conrod Straight. This is the Bathurst that racing fans have been asking for years and we’re proud to bring it to them in ‘Forza Motorsport 5.’"

This alone has made me switch my pre order from PS4 to XBOX One. I've watched the Bathurst 1000 since the mid 80's, great news!

Man... every bit of news that comes out for Forza 5 makes me want to switch to the Xbox One. Currently have the PS4 pre ordered, don't know how much longer I can resist.

Not right away... But then again, I'm not getting a new console at launch either. Learnt my lesson last time around. And besides, I still have a huge pile of PS3 games to finish before I make the upgrade :-)

I put a lot of hours into Forza 4 and I remember our OS car club in it's prime. Good times.
