That's kind of cool/not cool because it means there will be things missing or different in next-gen that you'll miss or are "better" in current gen. I know, assumptions, but that's what it sounds like.

BUT for me always changing the controls is annoying. i kinda feel like the changes arent necessarily progressive, its like a lateral move, just to change something.

i'm still on the fence about buying the game day 1. i dont play the cpu much, so i need to see more user v user games. because user v user is where a lot of the shenanigans happens.
That's pretty much spot on because once it's in user hands and battle hardened, it's not really til then that we know what we got.

I love the game so I don't mean it in a bad way. It's just that once everyone's had it awhile, and honed their skills, we get a much better feel for what the game is like. After having the game for a year, I can't do half of what I see guys do.

Even still, it's a great game and I still think we can count on it being better.

I like the 2K view so I'm with you on that lol!

Oh and good work by everyone there. Nice reporting.

Yeah I definitely got the impression it was disc space. From the way they were hinting around it, it restricted them somewhat on some great ideas they had to wait for next gen to implement.

I get that and we asked them about that too. They couldn't go in detail but there's simply things they can't do current gen due to memory restrictions. But over the next month I think they will lay out a compelling case for current gen in itself and then the hammer should land for next gen. If you're strapped for cash it's sounding next gen would win out, but they definitely have been planning on reasons for gamers to have both and it not feel like a port.

Just a heads up Lid is my brother and we both were with JWill, Ronnie and Chris/LD2K. I said that to maybe make sense of some differing opinions we may have because he's an exclusive user vs. user online baller on the 2k cam. I'm mostly an offline association, Beluba cam player. Perspective of all the things we saw and heard will be processed and analyzed from two very different places within the same game.

Thanks fam. I think regardless of how we all play the game, the consensus will be this was the best 2k of this generation based on the version we were able to play and what PG and Ronnie played. Will there be user exploits discovered and cheesed until we're all lactose intolerant, of course. But that's why I mostly play offline and with great slider sets. Somehow I feel frustration with the user vs. user game will always exist because you have some that will approach it like real ball and others play it like a video game. So soon as they find a glitch in the Matrix they turn into Mr. Smith and wreak havoc forcing all of us to become agents in order to win lol.

Re: NBA 2K14 Impressions, Videos and Q&A From the Vegas EXPO (JasonWilliams55)

First... hats off for your commitment and really good insight. Now this is something i would like to have every year. Thank you for bringing my questions to the 2K, I hope they will check and correct playbook/playcalling issues which are in game from 2k12.

I've noticed in second video that jump pass is very powerful. I mean... check Tony Parker doing drive and his pass from last step in mid air. Not only he's doing regular pass, second jump pass is also a "flashy" pass thrown behind his back with a defender between. The defender don't give a damn ...

As I recall my basketball coach jumping in air with the ball in your hands is the least preferable position -> player in reality doesn't have much time to make a good accurate bullet pass. Now watch the speed and accuracy of a Parker pass. Jump passes (or passes where ball handler changes his mind and pass the ball instead of a lay-up or jumper) should be a high risk.

In second video I've noticed a very good play execution by the CPU. But the problem is, that even in 2k13 the CPU executes plays very efficient and smooth. I hope player can also execute plays as CPU does.

Question: How is the player transition back from offense to defense? Are your players still jogging back, while the CPU is executing super fastbreak? And what about CPU defending user fastbreaks? Do CPU players have "special" acceleration and speed compared to user as they have in 2k13?
