But to each his own ...
Sucking at basketball is more realistic to what most people experience. Do we need a video game for that?

We play NBA2K, MyCareer, and Crew for the NBA/pro ball fantasy experience. I don't need a videogame that replicates the mundaneness of everyday ball when I already played 2 hours this morning.

I'm also a mostly offline player. How would we like it if they put MyCareer games in a practice gym and turned it into a simulation of rec league ball? After all, it's just aesthetics.

I hear you, But mycareer is why different from Crew. To me, imho, if the only difference from past crew mode to this years crew is blacktop I dont see the big deal.

Why is it "different"? In the past they were both played in a pro arena environment with all the trappings. The only difference was that your Crew team wasn't an official NBA team.

MyCareer is inherently tied to Crew. You're even playing with the SAME player. But for some reason you're forced to play pickup ball if you want to run with your buddies. It's like if Lebron James was only allowed to form the Big 3 at Rucker.

Seems like you don't see the big deal because you don't actually care about the mode. It's the equivalent of a Ranked Match guy saying its fine if MyCareer turns into MyRecLeague.

In fact this would actually make both MyPlayer and MyCrew consistent and "realistic" if that is what you truly care about.

Wait, we're talking about "realism" and "My Crew" in the same sentence? That's a bit of a stretch considering everything so far. But I think most people want to envision themselves as an NBA star over an And 1 mixtape legend. That's why the arena matters. But overall, the location of the game shouldn't be one of the biggest priorities.

the arena is more than just an arena. when you get an arena you know you're getting crowd noise with it, you're getting jerseys with it, you're getting fouls, and justr more realistic play overall. a lot is tied into the arena i think.
