Don't have time to get too detailed, but after finally playing the M25 demo, I am very-much looking forward to the retail copy. Gameplay was on-point and graphically looked vibrant.

I just hope the CPU AI is good in Connected Franchise and that Auto-Subs also work properly in that mode.

Re: Madden NFL 25 Demo Available Now, Post Your Impressions (360, PS3)

thought it was pretty good, here's my 3 pros and cons, and consider i haven't played since madden 12, so thats what im comparing i to.
pros:
1. commentary and presentation overall is much improved, good cut scenes etc.
2. physics really good, i like it
3. I like the new running turbo thing. have to be patient. also the new jukes and spins i like.
cons:
1. stupid that you cant collapse the pocket its either in a dead animstion with the lineman or you get by immediatly. thats not how it works irl
2. CPU knows what play your running still. had one play hb dive, 1 safety was in cbs playing off, then i audilbe for a slant, cbs go straight to press coverage and safety goes back.
3. I was on all madden but my guy drops an easy pick but they make all of their jumping picks.

They want dreadlocks, sock striping,CPU versus CPU spectator mode, and progressively dirty uniforms. That ( pre- teen, I assume) segment who wants to download their face and see what it looks like in the uniform of their favorite team and other superfluous fascinations.

That's all well and good, but it's not football. This is the demographic that EA panders to year after year. It's their bread and butter, and seemingly the only areas of the programming they are adept at evolving and improving.

I am always amazed at some of the hardcore EA fanboys on here that are in perpetual denial and defending this lackluster product at every turn. My recent favorite was a comment stating " just use your imagination" in reference to some of the ridiculous and looooong standing CPU AI flubs. ROTFLMAO. Why pop the game in at all, just close your eyes and imagine everything.....

The fact is, Madden has never been and will never be the football game that we football purists want to see. Madden was light years behind 2k and was never going to catch up. They clearly understood this, so they bought out all the competition instead if upping their own game. They've been coasting ever since.

You can most assuredly lump next gen Madden into this same category. It'll be one step forward, two steps back - like always with this series.

I am officially fed up.....how much longer until everyone else is too?

Tick tock EA.

JMO

Couldn't have been said better.. period..

We finally have realistic run blocking and on next gen M25, realistic pass blocking, but the defense is at a major disadvantage now. Once they address the pass rush and fully addressing WR/DB interactions(everything I've heard points to this and defense in general, being a big focus of Madden 15) we should start to see a much more sim style game.

Jpdavis82, you know what you are? Your Enabler! lol

Only a hardcore Madden fan would say what you said above! lol
I'll tell you what, you do have some faith i'll give you that! Props to you for standing strong on your beliefs even though they may be wrong

Anybody else having any issues with the kick meter? I'm constantly getting no feedback and a meter that goes all the way up and back down despite clicking the stick.

I've been having it since at least '13, if not longer. It drives me nuts.

Re: Madden NFL 25 Demo Available Now, Post Your Impressions (360, PS3)

I've had fun with the demo but I don't like the sliders. They got rid of all the defensive block shedding/pass rush sliders and the horribly weak sliders from M13 still seem to be present. The run blocking slider doesn't do much. If you take SF you can just ram the ball down the Ravens throat, even with user run block at 0. It's a 100 point scale! Why can't they make those sliders more powerful?

Unfortunately not a single Game Changer gives a crap about the sliders and it doesn't appear EA cares much either. They aren't tuned properly. I really wish EA Tiburon would take this area more seriously. Instead of dropping a bunch of sliders I would like to see more added. I just hope in the retail version it's better but it's a 99% certainty that it won't be. Last year on All-Madden I could put user run block at 0, cpu break block at 100 and still average 6 yards a carry. Give us the tools to fix this properly. I am now concerned that once we adjust to this game it will be too easy.

Re: Madden NFL 25 Demo Available Now, Post Yourou Impressions (360, PS3)

This is just a general statement and not directed at anyone in particular.

Its ok to love the game. Its also ok to hate it. What's not ok is for the people who hate it to bash the people who like it. Just because someone likes the game doesn't mean they are a fanboy. That's a dirty work at OS. Calling someone that can get you a ticket out of here.

We all know the game has legacy issues. If you though Madden 25 would have all those issues fixed then I don't know what to tell you.

Everyone has different tastes. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean someone else can't. Some people just play it and have fun. Other obsess over its issues.

So going forward, any bashing of members who are happy with the game will not be tolerated.

And just to be fair, the opposite holds true as well.
