NBA 2K14 Features Crew Mode - 3-on-3 or 5-on-5

You really think that there's a much, much, much, better 5v5 crew mode they had in store than what they showed Team-Up 2 weeks ago?

If that were the case, the would have simply said, "we have 5v5 crew, fully featured. It's just not ready yet." Especially if they were trying to get them to promote the mode. Not, "Shoot. You're right. You're not feeling this huh? Let's see if I can fight for 5v5 and squeeze this in."

Pretty sure they don't even have 5v5 crew quite done *now*, because it was just THEN that KSpade complained about it only being 3v3 Blacktop 2.0.

It makes no sense that they would take most of the year to tweak 3v3 Blacktop, pass it off as Crews, and then be able to implement a full fledged 5v5 in two weeks after community guys told them straight up that it wouldn't fly.

Really not sure what there is to gain by convincing others to take a willfully ignorant and hopelessly optimistic stance so late in the game when all evidence points otherwise.

I want to be fair here and say I'm mainly negative about how this Crew situation seems to be handled. The gameplay and features list however, seems to target almost all of my specific requests and problems-- except maybe footplanting, and possibly making it worse by what little I saw in the Crew video. Footplanting will cause the game to take the real next-gen jump both visually and gameplay wise.

Really happy about tying rosters to Stats inc, if done right, and intrigued about Adaptive Defensive AI addressing things I didn't actually post much about except in the sliders section.

much respect to kspade anyway, he seems like our big hope. i hope he helps improve it(though i don't know why he requested a practice gym for crew games, that means no commentary, or crowd noise... even if the crowd is cardboard cutouts, the arena and noise is always nice) i'm just staying pessimistic right now because it's easier that way... and all we can go off is what we've seen. better believe if they showed a 2k11esque crew, i'd be optimistic as hell(thought i'd probably post 2 or 3 times instead of 50).

I don't know but you don't know too. And What's wrong with hoping? I get that its sounds stupid to you, but I'm more pumped for gameplay then crew, and you're just coming here straight outta left field telling me I basically look stupid for seeing the right side of things opposed to the left. I don't know about you, but I have been hoping to see a lot of things and I see majority of what I hoped is there. Except the new controls, didn't ask or expect for that...

It can't be THAT old. Complete modes don't get implemented and rebuilt in 2 weeks when the build they're trying to impress people is just not that impressive.

Old builds can explain for little glitches, slight physics problems, odd behaviors. "It's an old build" is not justification to believe the final game will be anything you hope, want, and wish it to be with 4 weeks or less left in the dev cycle.

Following what's been revealed about how the 3v3/5v5/blacktop Crew mode situation went down, I'm pretty sure my pessimism that Crew will just be stripped down 5v5 fullcourt Blacktop is more justified than "old build, we don't know, we can hope regardless of evidence."

I'm also optimistic about gameplay and all the other features. Stats Inc rosters, new passing system, better paint contact and blocking system, adaptive defensive AI, improved on-ball defensive system. If these features are implemented correctly (they're not always), 2K14 could be the best in the series addressing both old and new problems.

But I don't think I'm out of left field when I say that you should let diehard Crew fans decide what Crew is for them, and what's happened to Crew IS somewhat of a debacle. Telling them not to care about things that don't matter to you specifically and telling them to ignore evidence and hope beyond reason when you don't seem to a hardcore classic Crew fan is doing them a disservice.

Honestly, it does "sound stupid", but I'm guessing you're just trying to give them perspective because you believe 2K14 will be good as a whole. I think it probably will be too. But downplaying their extremely legitimate concerns and goading them into unjustified optimism to allay their justified fears is not the way to do it in my view.

Exactly , the only thing 2k would have seen from me was a few thank you tweets and their game would've had one more pre-order.

The only legitimate concern I see is that its not (100% sure) what they want, but if that's the case, then I have a list in terms of customization that needs addressing. The thing is fulfilling everyone is a big range that can't be completely fulfilled. That fact that Crew is being addressed after a leave and association not is an example that comes to mind. For a couple reasons, the generic disk space, promoting saving, time consuming, etc.

But the thing is we haven't seen 5 v 5. We only have seen 3 v 3. We don't know the facts, I'm still saying that its still all opinion based on what 5 v 5 is/would be.

I'm not justified to say that 5 v 5 will be 2K11 crew, but everyone else isn't justified to say its 5 v 5 Blacktop, since we don't have facts for 5 v 5 to proof right or wrong.

I use facts to decide where my opinion goes and if facts aren't release yet, I guess I have to wait, cause I have all the time I need.
