Knowing ea, people will be laid off this week and the division will be absorbed, the project scrapped, and that's it. Done.

I realize this post might get me banned and so be it. It's about time someone told the bold faced truth:

If EA SPORTS Football Dev team tried to piss on a brush fire....they'd miss. Collectively even. The amount of incompetence with that Dev team has proven, over the years, to be staggering.

For the schools to pull out would be stupid. This game is marketing gold for Schools. They know young people (including athletes) play this game. It's a recruiting tool. Or could be used as one anyway. It's absolutely stupid for schools to pull out.......however...... what runs those schools? $$$$

At the end of the day, it's all about the $$ and always is. The schools WILL pull out because of that, and only that, reason.

This game is dead. Period. RIP. It's over guys. Enjoy NCAA 14' football cause this is the end of the line. You still waiting for a patch to drop??? Keep holding your breath....
Judging by this (and 90% of other posts in this section) we should be glad if the NCAA football games go away.

Stop taking every. single. bit. of. news. as "THE SKY IS FALLING." This article was written to keep people updated with what is happening. Whine if the game goes away. Whine if it stays. Seriously, can't you guys let something play out before you get up in arms?

That being said, thank you for an entertaining thread.

Unless schools drop out, I very much doubt the series is in jeopardy for next year. The use of the logos is already so minimal.

And a few statistics from Artrell Hawkins of FOXSports...
The NCAA made 11 BILLION Dollars last year.
That's$ 627,000 per Athlete including Golfers, Girl Softball players and Football and Basketball.
Of that total, 99 % of that was made by less than 1% of it's athletes.. Manziel, Clowney, etc,
The ELITE Football and Basketball players;
The average Scholarship is valued at $29000 per year:
Those Scholaships are awarded on a season to season basis ;

I remember when the NCAA didn't re-up, I told people that the conferences would be hard to keep. Next will be the individual schools. Certain posters mocked me for comparing NBA Elite to the next NCAA Football in the sence that EA can pull the plug on any time... I really hope this isn't the end, but damn it's so close.

If the dominoes fall, it's the end of it. There's a reason why EA goes for even the minor leagues in FIFA. Licenses sell games; not every gamer is an OSer.

The thing is, given what has been posted, it's looking more and more likely that schools will drop out. I wonder who'll be the first to jump.

Believe it or not, this game series is the main reason I own a console. I guess I won't have to worry about saving money up for a ps4 so fast. Sure I will still buy a ps4 for other games, eventually. Maybe for Christmas next year.

Maybe a new agreement will be made between the NCAA and EA or somebody else down the road for an officially licensed game. I am sure it will happen eventually. Hopefully this will work out for the best for College Football games down the road.
