Hot Shots Golf: World Invitational Review (PS3)

Hot Shots Golf: World Invitational
dropped onto the PlayStation Network last week, after a relatively warm reception on the Vita back in the Spring. Despite being relatively unchanged, the PS3 offers some nice options for players who didn’t have the ability or desire to play the portable version.

The ps3 version runs at a full 1080p, some compared to the Vita Version it looks gorgeous. Other than that and a few new animations its the same. I felt like the move worked well, it does a good job of tracking your hands if your opening or closing the club face, the problem is if your golf swing is bad in real life, it will translate here, so I didn't have much success hitting the ball straight or far

I think HSG is the best golf series out there. Yes it's cartoony, but the ball physics are great and more realistic than the TW series has ever been. Sure its not real players on real courses, but the courses are fun and with true to life ball physics this game is challenging. i give it a solid 8.5

I guess they're never going to add a create a golfer option. I've been wanting that for years.

Yeah...if they would "Americanize" this game by getting rid of the cheesey anime stuff and give you the ability to modify your golfer as you suggest they would appeal to whole crowd of people who are turned off by their game based on it's cheesiness. IMO this game, as simplistic as it is, if more challenging and more fun than TW....

HSG is so much better than Tiger Woods. Best golf game out there. At least the DLC in this game is just one golfer and one course. Tiger Woods? Half the game is DLC. I give this game a 9 out of 10.
