That Skins Cowboys game is the exact reason why I will not be purchasing current gen.

Here are some other notes.

In that 9ers Packers game you can see a bunch of post play camera issues and hear quite a few problems still with commentary unfortunately.

Randall Cobb breaks out past the 50 on a kickoff return and all I hear is; "And that's a big return" after he has been tackled.

"They stop the clock right away with a timeout" Even though he had just fumbled away 25 or so seconds trying to find the right audible or play to go into before he called a timeout, how is that right away?

Aaron Rodgers doing his belt celebration after throwing a TD what in the world?

Coach Harbaugh sending out the kicker after every timeout even when it's 2nd and 8 with 30 seconds left in the game? Should be Kaepernick.

Couldn't watch more than 3 minutes of gameplay because I can't stand the cheese.

I understand these are Madden 'strategy' players, but there really needs to be a way of controlling pre play adjustments. These guys are just playing at 500 miles an hour... exactly how I hate playing when playing in Online CCM... But its necessary because you need that 'edge' over your opponent and the best way to do that is to make so many adjustments at the LOS that you are presented a vanilla defense every time.

This is obviously something teams do in reality too, but in Madden it just lead 55-48 scorelines and a really unsatisfying game experience.

I think it's time for RTP. The IE engine just isn't enough. Still have guys that can't join in on tackles and animations that cannot be interrupted.

Another RTP we need is real time presentation. These cut scenes are so bad, showing players that have nothing to do with the play, teams celebrating at the wrong times, etc

and zig zag running still works... why break down and use the new running controls for jukes to beat defenders when you can just zig zag right at them and not lose a drop of speed?

I agree with both RTPs... They have to be coming soon... FIFA is trying to remove all loading screens and it makes the game flow so much better... and yes, those cut scenes are embarrassing.

Player celebrations are probably the worst they've ever been too... Why did they scrap the celebration zones???

Always the postive light in this sea of negativity!

Do you happen to know if they added any other stadium sounds? I remember talk of muskets in New England. Im hoping for the return of the fight songs and stadium specific sounds (viking horn, lion roar, etc.) and more importantly, THAT THEY WORK PROPERLY. Looking at history though, I won't get my hopes up.
Also, were the signature throwing motions just abandoned all together? That will be missed big time if thats the case.....

Leaning towards not buying right now. But there have been some people on here that have said get current gen, not next gen. I still wonder why? I guess next gen isn't looking all that good in its first go around....

Preach!

Someone being so positive in light of the negatives out weighing the positives with this game is very each and every yr instead of just being honest.

What does madden have going for it that keeps you so positive in light of every issue thats not been resolved even now?

Jersey's are screwed up each yr and all the other cosmetic issues

Stats and injuries are still a problem to this day

Ratings have always been a main gripe amongst players

And the issues with online play and the things people get away with thats not even remotely close to authentic.

No matter what, you glow for madden in spite of this but at the same time I never hear you say how much you have been/still enjoying any iteration... why is that?

The Vikings horn is in, it was in the last few years. The muskets firing in New England is in, I'm not sure about all of the stadium songs, but I did hear Skol Vikings and Hail to the Redskins in the community videos from Madscientist06 and Shopmaster. I agree about the commentary, it was a mixed bag. For some reason especially on kick returns, it seemed like the commentary was missing. The big run by Gore for a TD sounded pretty good, especially when he crossed the goal line. Hopefully they are still tuning the commentary and will have some good lines for big kick returns, like they do with big TD runs. Last year they said the commentary was one of the last things added into the game, doesn't guarantee it will be tweaked at all, but there's at least some hope it will be.

As far as my positive attitude, it simply comes from knowing that this dev team under Cam Weber is focused on making a sim minded game. I don't expect many people to be very positive until the next gen games start coming out. I understand that. I felt like Madden 13 was a good start but far from where I would want it to be. Madden 25 on current gen looks like another small step in the right direction, but I never expected a leap in the right direction until next gen Madden comes out. I'll be honest it may not even be enough with Madden 25 next gen, but I think 15 will be the game that REALLY gets people on board with Cam Weber and company. If I'm wrong I will admit it and dive into the sea of negativity with everyone else lol. I never try to be biased, I just don't spend much time bashing the game for its limitations on current gen, because there's not much that can be done at this point to fix them. I would MUCH rather see this team spend that time fixing these issues for next gen and deliver a product that can satisfy us for the next several years, then have them fix this years game and satisfy us now. I've taken the time to listen to interviews with Rex Dickson, Victor Lugo, Clint Oldenburg, Cam Weber, etc.. and I am confident that they will deliver a outstanding football game very soon.
