Re: NBA 2K14 Community Team-Up Recommendations

If they felt like participating there are 2 members here on OS that I vote for: Coach2k and Mrleaderboards. We all know by now that 2k has absolutely no problem making a game that appeals to the casual basketball gamer. Lets get people like the 2 guys that I mentioned in there, who represent the hardcore sim, realistic, and competitive members of the community.

2. Remove all generic head coaches and assistant coaches and replace them with real actual coaches who they have on the disk and are not currently coaching.

3. Add two distinct roles to player roles for "roleplayers". For the "roleplayers" player role there should be an "energy" role player role for guys like Chris Andersen to use an example and then also a "defensive stopper" role player role for a role player who would be called upon to defend the opponents best player.

4. Make the Prospect player role its own player role, as it is now it is considered a role player. You should have at the most 9-10 player roles (1 superstar, 4 starters, 1 sixth man, 3 role players with 2 being assigned with the distinct roles and 1 prospect.)

5. CPU trade logic so that users dont have to do 30 team user controlled associations.

6. Include technical could and flagrent fouled into gameplay and have the points system that will determine when a player reaches a certain number he is suspended a game for every point over the limit. (These fouls should be tied into the individual players emotion attribute for techs, the higher the rating the more likely he is to be t'd up and flagerant fouls tied into the players hard foul attribute).

7. Need to implement players bird rights, early bird rights as this gives teams the ability to resign their own free agents despite being over the cap.

8. They need to unlock all hidden players on game disc, overseas players and players on the disk that have been out of the league the last 2-3 seasons.

9. Allow franchise to relocate and also implement an expansion team in future years.

10. Players season stats and career stats need to be exact and accurate as well as contacts and salaries.

I hate how they take players out of the game during their roster updates. Eaglerock you got my vote.

Four or five of those items definitely won't happen (#1, 2, 6, 8 & 9) for reasons involving league approval, the NBAPA and the coaches association. Can't ask for things that are outside 2K's power, even if things may remain on the disk.

Loso i agree...Too many people have suggested these youtube guys and honestly, those guys are decent, but when it comes to competitive online play, I've never seen ANY OF THESE GUYS ON THE LEADERBOARDS! I mean, when you play tons of games, that means you see alot of different exploits, cheesy tactics, money plays, different defenses thrown at you, so that wealth of knowledge that you gain from playing those games becomes essential when you speak about who should represent the community. I for one believe in the leaderboards. I have always been a firm believer that people who are top ranked are there for a reason. Some may so say they have too much time on their hands, or have no lives, but thats not always the case. Some people are actually good at what they do.That Added with the fact that i have lots of knowledge about the sport of basketball so it helps me to be able to sit down and figure out whats being done to me on the court, and know how to adjust. I'd love the chance to fly out to 2k Sports and represent the OS community and let them know based off of what little time we get with 2K14 on how much the game has improved compared to 2k13. I Honestly believe 2k14 needs to look no further than 2k11 as its competition. I mean I love the progression graphically with 2k12 & 2k13, but it's like the soul is missing from the game, if you know what i mean.

If Chosen I'll ask the questions that all gamers want to know.

Return of crew Mode
Online association
Offline association
MyCareer
Myplayer
Ranked matches
Blacktop Mode
Myplayer Pick Up Games
team up

Offensive player Movements
Defensive sliding
The return of blocked shots
Canned animations
Stealing
Address Slow Passing issues
Address stuck in animation issues(ONLY true 2k fans know about this)
explanation of New Signature Skills
Online Servers
Saved Online Playbooks
Team Specific PLaybooks

and whatever else you guys want me to ask.

I'll do you guys justice, trust me...Im O/S guy for a while now, and would be my honor to represent the people and give you guys feedback on what i see.

Thanks for the shout out Bottled, it's great to know people want you to represent the community. I think coach2k would make a fine rep for the community as well. I think we should stay away from the youtube guys this year...i mean theyy're gonna rport what they think of the game regardless when it comes out, we need some new blood out there to give a fresh perspective of what 2k has to offer.
