He probably wasn't wearing gloves because he is set as a QB in the game and they just moved him to TE for the video.

You don't need to explain it, but not everyone is going to be comfortable wearing gloves. I've worn gloves to catch balls before, and I'd never do it again. If you're going to make a big deal about someone not wearing gloves, I'm going to show how little of a deal it is for me.
