Love the demo. Really think that the atmosphere has been slightly enhanced. I have a dumb question though. I didn't play last years' game so can anyone help me with those P and R icons that sometimes pop up over the defensive end's head? (I think they are blue and orange). What are those?

This is College, QB should miss their passes often.
I think this problem actually stems from the lack of a O-Line/D-Line interaction. Sure, it's better this year, but the idea of a pass rush is to force QB's to make wild throws and bad decisions. 80% of the time when I've gotten a pass rush in the demo, the QB will rush out and run, or take the sack.

Ideally, the game needs to get to the point where you'll have QB's throwing off their back foot, on the run, and with the threat of a D-Line to knock the ball down.

Still, I've tinkered with the QBA and have gotten some really nice completion percentages. Right now I'm at 25 for both sides and I'm fine with it.

Has anyone kicked a game winning field goal yet? Because it is amazing.

I don't think that's at all fair to say. A lot of us here at OS have been incredibly frustrated over the years with this game, and I specifically remember that being true for a lot of people last year when the demo released. The game has improved a lot, IMO, and I don't want my opinion to be boiled down to "looking through rose colored glasses". I'll tell you when I think a game sucks, and I'll tell you when I think one has improved. And this time, I think the game has improved.
I don't think anyways arguing this game isn't better, i do however think that a lot of the positive vibes come from the fact that NCAA 13 sucked and people are happy to have a game that doesn't completely suck.

This year's game has improved and shouldn't deter those who enjoy the series from buying the game, I just personally don't feel that the game is THAT much more enjoyable because it's still very stale.

Just my personal opinion based on my time with the demo and thoughts on it compared to the initial reaction people were giving.

The Pass Lead Sensitivity is set at "50" by default.
We have to use Xan's editor to get to this function in our Profile settings of save.
Maxed at 127, the QB ratings really come into play and how you press the RS when throwing.

This is without touching the QB Acc Slider, so there will be room for even greater difficulty enhancement without feeling cheated.

How is the CPU playcalling on 3rd down? I've been playing 13 recently and drives me nuts that 95% of the time they run 4 verticals.

yea this is why I get upset with the fact that they like to focus on 1 aspect of the game each year while not improving other aspects. Last year was the passing game, this year they focused on the running game and option but didn't do anything to help the D. Now the option/run game is way too overpowering and then you add to that the fact that 90% of the tackles you make the guy struggles and picks up extra yards.

then when you add to that the no huddle issue where when you're on defense you have pretty much no time to pick a play before the ball is snapped. Really puts you at a disadvantage playing defense.
