The difference in the m25 video is that the de nearly pushes the LT back into the qb, in m12 the LT disengages and then the de sacks the qb. Watch the LT in m12 he doesn't get pushed back at pall by the de, in m25 the de pushes the LT back the whole time.

This is basically what happens in the m25 video, LT slides out then engages the pass rusher, same thing happens here.

Another thing I see with the M25 video that makes it look better is that the DE is rushing around the LT and the LT is blocking on the DE's left shoulder; the whole time the DE is focused on getting to the QB...In the M12 video the DE cuts his pass rush to engage face to face with the LT....The DE, in pass rush, is there to get away from the LT, not engage.....

The M25, though one pass play, already looks better....

Again, it could be because the gif is sped up making it seem as if the DE's progress isn't stopped but it looks like they continue through the block.

Here is a Youtube video from Sgibs, watch the DE in M12 compared to that M25 DE.

Oh no no, I wasn't saying that the DE was stopped completely, I just thought that the angle he (DE) took, his speed, and where he is, it felt like he was sucked into that block animation. I looked at this picture....

At this point to me, looking at this picture, the DE has got the LT beat, dead in the water... In the NFL, any kind of block from the LT at this point would be a block in the back since there's no way he's going to be able to get his arms out in front of the DE. Looking at this picture over and over, the only way realistically the QB can avoid that sack is by stepping up into the pocket and then left away from the pressure. Instead, he scoots over right, and then the LT engages in a block from the side. That's where I thought the block in the back might have been called.

San Antonio, Las Vegas, Salt Lake City, Albuquerque, and Alexandria are gross omissions.

Germany also supported NFLE very well. I can see the NFL there before Mexico.

Block in the back? I dunno.

I would certainly expect the LT to hold him, that seems the most likely response to how he's been beat. He should be taking a 10 yard penalty to prevent his QB from getting rocked.

You don't see "blocking in the back" all that often in pass protection, that's more or less a special teams penalty.
