I think I can end this thread, although I'll be fueling another topic altogether. Don't read the spoiler, if you wish to continue on with the last minute PR change, anger issue, obviously.

Re: EA Pushes Back Connected Franchise Playbook to May 20th

I truly believe (no sheep) once they looked over the release of info they didn't like the break up . maybe for once they listened and it didn't look right. they wanted to come correct. the 20th will be here before we know it. I don't think the sky is falling or they up to something. Plans change

Trust me, there would have been more questions then answers with only half the info being provided, and we still would have had to wait.

They were not plans - it was a statement of transaction, of delivery....Regardless, you are taking the use of the word, "promise" too literally....I believe we all understand that promises get broken...

As history will show, even after May 26th there will still be questions; just as there have been questions after teh first playbooks were released...

Anywho, I and many others are or were not "upset," just disappointed....EA's track record though should curb expectations, and reduce disappointment, we know subconsciously, or consciously, not to get overly hyped on anything....

Don't know what they delayed it but I"m sure there was a reason, there is no benefit to doing so.
I didn't really mean that to sound negative. From a "business point" I just didn't understand pushing it back to one day when they could of left it split and built anticipation. My only real question in my post was if they were able to put something in or did they have take something out. Thats the only odd thing to me. I don't know how to make video games so I don't know if something - even small - could be added at this point in time. If not, I don't see the benefit of the info being pushed back. I really don't mind either way but I'm old and I will probably forget that the info will be released on the 20th haha. Thank goodness I spend a large chunk of my internet time on OS or Twitter with Steve and the OS page tweeting this stuff out.

I feel like they recognized that the majority of people care more about what this owner mode addition will bring than whatever they were set to lay out today. So they figured it would be more positive to unveil it with the other stuff to prevent another low-key, somewhat underwhelming reveal.

Really good point in that spoiler. Really interesting.

I'm more so disappointed in the fact that their aren't anymore gameplay blogs/features scheduled. I mean know we've known this, but it just hit me now that this is all we get if we're only interested in the gameplay initially. Really hope we get some next gen Madden on the 21st or at E3, because this last real edition of Madden on current gen, as well as it being the 25th edition, doesn't seem too special. It's still early though. I wonder if there is going to be a special edition like they did with 05 where they had the old school gameplay on there. That'd be pretty cool. 09 had a special 20th edition too, but I want to try to forget Madden 09, lol.

I feel I'm underwhelmed this year because there isn't the webcast they had the last few years. At least, we were able to meet the team behind the game and put a face to some of the players. Feels like I'm reading a magazine from the early 80's waiting for the next game to come out.

I still have hope there will be an announcement at E3 something regarding game play.

It feels like they have to have something big planned. Everything has been so low-key compared to the last few years. It's almost as they're trying to lull us to sleep. Even last year, we got gameplay clips and looks before E3 during the presentation casts and that's when they didn't want to show ANY gameplay. This year we've got 3 upgrades, strictly gameplay related, with no IE to hide and all we've gotten is a couple of teaser trailers relating to only one.

Just makes me wonder if that's why we haven't gotten anything else is because they'd rather show it off on next gen. I don't know, just seems a lot different this year.
