Good to see the back AWARE of the oncoming rusher and try to get over there to pick him up. It would have been nice to see him try to push Kerrigan off course/around the qb or cut him. Also, watch Kerrigan's right arm on the dive/tackle. Seems to just be hanging out there. I noticed this on a few tackles throughout the video. Guess it's better than seeing them distorted or in awkward positions.
Yeah, he did seem to electric slide a bit but like you said, at least he was aware enough to try to engage Kerrigan. I also agree with others about the two feet trip not resulting in a fall. Falls seem to be an issue with the IE because I have noticed and mentioned a few times about how jumping defenders or receivers don't fall/stumble when landing. There were many instances in M13 of players bending or contorting oddly, while still maintaining their balance to stay upright.

I honestly have no idea how they can address it or why it plays out that way. They seem to have stumble animations but maybe they need some where the ball carrier just flat out falls down, no long deliberate stumble but just some simple fall animations. My concern is that the focus on User control may have caused something like that to go overlooked.

Another thing I want adjusted/fixed - the TE never being "bumped/pressed/chipped" no matter what coverage audibles you use....

...I remember watching the Chiefs put two guys on a Patriots TE (Gronk) and just beat his backside on the LOS like they were the gunner blockers on punt returns.

The fact that the TEs get a free release and the precision passing the TEs were a complete PITA to deal with in M13 and you had to manually defend them. The pass rush, combined with the TE, was so weak that guys had to resort to 2 man rushes and dropping 9 into coverage.

Definitely. There needs to be far more stuff like this not just on the TE but on receivers as well instead of the stupid 'all-or-nothing' jam/whiff that cornerbacks do. They should also add this into the running backs coming out of the backfield chipping on blitzers or edge rushers.

Not to mention that 20 year old step slide the TE does when in motion...that animation has been in the game forever and I've never seen a tight end do the Cha Cha while in motion in all my years of watching ANY type of football...but that's just me being petty.

Ok obviously you guys are taking this stuff way too serious, all I was saying is that maybe not all, but a lot of the people who use that saying go on YouTube Madden videos and just say that phrase and offer no ideas or suggestions to try and make the game better. I never said anything was perfect with Madden by any means. Madden 13 was about what I expected but is still not a great or even good representation of the game of football. I'm not here to start wars and ill just keep doing what I do, which is go out of my way for the community during this time of year to get as much media and info regarding madden and ncaa as I can find. Sorry if I upset anyone, never intended to.

YES it does. It''s obviously not the same game all those hits are coming from so it's not the amount.
It's the waaaaay overblown impact and the way the players are getting leveled like a nuke just went off in front of them.

Needs seriously tones down.

I think it still depends on how common it is. I can live with one or two big hits like that a game. If they are occurring every possession then it's way overkill. I get people like big hits but I wish they would either give a 'tackle power slider' or like they are apparently doing with the 'heat-seeker' tackling, give us an on/off for the hit stick.

That's definitely a two way street, there are some that come and try to make everything into cockroaches and thunderstorms. There are some that bash JP for having a positive vibe about Madden.

Don't get me wrong, there ARE people on this forum who post legitimate creative, thought provoking ideas about how to improve Madden and those people make articulate posts and not bashing ones.

Without people who go against the grain of this forum and actually show their optimism towards the game then they should just re-name the Madden Forum to "The Debbie Downer Chat Club".

Now, I do believe the harsh criticism by this forum and others has made this game better for this generation of systems. The rate of "Same thing different cover" that comes out after a few screens and a very little amount of video is alarming and so is how quickly the EA apologists come rushing in.

Its going to be a never ending revolving door, the people who choose to wait are going to tell the people, who base their entire judgement off a couple teaser videos and a few screens 4/5 months before release, to wait till E3 and the people who use the "Jump to conclusions mat" to make a decision will tell people that wait that they are wasting their time and nothing will change. Which is EVERYONES right to choose what they want to do BUT it is unfair to threaten banishment to one side and not the other.

But hey I'm not an admin and what you guys do is your own prerogative. Ill just be sitting here waiting for these

On a side note, from the articles I have read these type of hits don't happen as often as the video seems to show. I do agree that the "Three yard explosion" away from the tackler/ball carrier is unrealistic. Some of the tackling/footplanting looks solid but not at the level I would like to see it.

The Kerrigan sack has my hopes up and has me excited for E3
