The mechanic behind the LT or L2 being a stutter step kind of thing and you being able to string moves out of that is what we needed. When they emphasize stringing moves, it it more in the context of the new precision mode that they added. They also mentioned that they added 30 new moves in other articles that I read. When you actually read into it more and not just stop at the video it sounds pretty cool. Plus they emphasized the fact that the higher rated juking players will pull of prettier moves than the other backs. They will do the 3rd tier moves so apparently there is 3 levels of juking. It was also mentioned that elite backs will definitely be separated from the others.

They also mentioned that since new things were added to the ball carrier, they had to add more logic to the defense. What was in the top 5 of best news was that they fixed pursuit angles. This was something that REALLY needed to be fixed. That would mean instead of players running at angles to run to the back of your player, they will actually get in better position to cut you off.

All of that sounds good, however, where EA messed up was with the showcase of this trailer. This trailer did a terrible job of showing off everything that they talked about in the playbooks. NCAA did a much better job with at least telling us what was added or changed. Hopefully there are more videos added for these feature soon.

Here are all the necessary articles to read into:

Way more refreshing than just watching the bad video they put together.

Well said and stated, I agree.

The trailer didn't work well.

I don't think they should have released any trailer at all showcasing the "run free" stuff because it was pretty much a lose-lose from the beginning. Either you get the trailer we got and it's boring, unexciting and not sexy. Or you have a trailer that looks like an And-1 mixtape and it seems like you can take any back and turn them into Barry Sanders.

Agree, someone said it earlier, this trailer wasn't made for the sim crowd. Even the 1st trailer was arcadey in nature. I didn't like the trailer at all last night.

However, after reading more articles from sim type players, it feels like it's going in the correct area.

Let's just hope, this time around, it plays out like it's on paper.

Yeah, I'm basically just treating it like the IE last year and just want to get my hands on it. They can release videos all day but I'm not going to be able to get a good judge until I have the controller in my hand and am playing the game. I almost hope they have some sort of practice or 'gauntlet' mode in the demo so you can test out all the moves and get accustomed to them.

This is ridiculous.
You know what really kills me about that statement - it is absolutely backwards - I mean seriously, do these guys know anything about balance???
Shorter player equals lower center of gravity and more balance - going low is much more difficult for taller players to deal with (hurdle not withstanding). I am just sick to my stomach, we will ever get back to a balanced game where user timing and the way you hit the buttons (length of time you hold it down) actually impacts the game play????????

They probably should have done a trailer about everything that they added game play wise. It still would have been interesting to see the video at least demonstrate everything they talked about in the playbooks and articles.
