That's the reasoning behind my question because it would seem if FIFA has already worked its' way to Impact engine 3.0 then that's the tech, force impact would have the benefit of, not the first edition. Like with the Infinity Engine, M13 had it, NCAA 13 didn't but this year NCAA 14 is getting IE 2, not IE 1.

Ah OK I get what you're saying. I guess the wr/db interactions would have needed a complete code rewrite to implement. If that was the case I think it would be wise to wait and do it for all interactions in the field. I would think that would fall under a "blocking" rewrite and as we know the line hasn't really been touched.

Definitely a positive step forward towards the next generation. Hopefully they learned from the jump to the 360/PS3 and use this as a platform to jump into the next generation. Seeing a decent amount of things I've liked and while I would've liked the animations on the line interactions to have been overhauled, if they at least made the outcomes play out correctly I'll live with the animations.

Since the gameplay improvements were covered what about visuals? I still say that NCAA 11 was miles better looking than 12 or 13. The screenshots look like the lighting was tuned back to look more realistic. The last two iterations were way jaggy and the HDDR lighting was way too bright.

yeah i mean relax no game will ever be perfect. and i am excited for this game. It's going to be fun and like always a great time. That's just me though. Other guys complain and put too much into what EA does wrong. NCAA and football games period will never be 100 percent perfect. But they can improve and always get better. It's the hardest sport to get to realistic status. So My advice is to be happy with what you got.

Something else I would like to know is, on a pitch play, do the OL get off the ball and move right/left to block for the RB? In previous games only 1 blocker would do this, where in reality, the whole line should be doing it.

with it seeming like they're focusing on the run game, i still haven't heard anybody whos played it mentioning zone runs really looking like zone runs so i'm assuming they still look and block the same.

You people are imbeciles, the game will be completely different from ncaa 13 simplyt because of the 2.0 infinity engine. Quit your crying, most of you will still buy the game anyway whether it sucks or not. Pretty sure it will at least be a decent effort though
