Re: MLB 13: The Show Live Launches

I've been playing Live mode quite a bit. I really enjoy it, but hope they work on fixing the rosters soon. Last night I played a Twins-Royals game from the previous night (Tues). The CPU brought in Ervin Santana as the Royals closer in the 9th. Worley was listed as my closer. I hadn't really noticed this issue--with starters were being shown as relievers until just recently--after the most recent roster update. I don't know if that's what has caused it, or if I just hadn't played these teams and it's been this way since the beginning. I understand the challenges of fixing rookies in this mode, but I would think pitching staffs, starters and relievers shouldn't be that difficult to get right.

yea I have noticed this too. Also for some reason guys are on the wrong teams. Playing reds and bucs game tonight. Devin Mesoraco is on the PIRATES bench while in real life he is starting for the Reds.
This mode is starting to disappoint me now. I understand that it takes time to get rookies into the game and Im fine if they have to put a free agent or a made up player every in the game every now and then. But when I go through every game today and see multiple mistakes with each team, even non-rookie mistakes. then I get upset. Especially when it says "MLB.com roster feeds (giving you real-life rosters)" in the mode.
Hopefully this problem is just occurring because it is the 2nd week of the season.

I only tried two Cubs games, but in both (different days) games the lineup on the Show Live menu listed Dave Sappelt as starting, only to have Joe Mather in the actual game instead, and Sappelt nowhere to be found; not even on the bench.

Confusing, especially when I don't think Mather is with the Cubs organization at all anymore.

SCEA has a reputation of not adding a game mode until it is fully complete and working. I'm a little disappointed in this mode so far and it feels like they were pressured to release this mode before it was ready.

I hope it gets better in the future.

Jose Reyes was still in the Blue Jays lineup today, even though he is out until the All-Star break.

I still played the game and as the Blue Jays won 4-3. Hit a monster 3-run HR with Bautista that banged off the foul pole, about 3/4 of the way up.

Something that I thought was pretty neat. The loading screen from a Show Live game the other day...

Although the team records were off by 1, the stats were spot on with what I saw on MLB network.

I think you played the game before the lineups were updated. I played later in the day, and it has Kawasaki at SS.

Actually both lineups were spot on. Jays even had Bautista at 3B, which made me do a double take when he fielded a grounder.

Yes, I did play the game before the lineups were updated. Still, Reyes was hurt on a Friday and the game I played was Sunday, so he should've still been out of the lineup.

Again, not a huge deal but it'd be nice to be able to edit the lineups ourselves before starting a game.
