Yukes to develop Take Two WWE Games

In a court filing yesterday, it was revealed that indeed Take Two has bought the WWE license from THQ. The more interesting detail is however that Yukes will be retained as the developer of the WWE series. This will almost certainly bode well for the series, as Yukes will now have even greater resources than they had at THQ for several elements of the game. More importantly, Yukes' incredible creation technology will be retained.

What we don't know yet is when the first WWE game will be released by 2K/Take Two -- but the odds of a 2013 release are now much higher with the same developer on board.

What do you all think, is this a net positive or negative for the WWE series?

Very cool. Will be neat to see what Yukes can do with Take Two's leadership. Maybe a lot of things we've been begging for will finally come true.

Can't wait for news to emerge.

Meh.

I was sort of looking forward to seeing a different spin on WWE games.

Oh well. This isn't the worst thing.

Looks like I won't be buying a wrestling game again soon then. And yeah, it is the worst thing.

@Feldman011teen it's not the worst thing... the worst thing is this means that ****terson will remain as community manager and i really had no desire to see that little imp involved with wwegames ever again
