I agree that pushing a release of a college hoops game to January that it would do better. With pro hoops, hockey, and football games all releasing in the early to mid-fall, it puts gamers in a spot of making choices of which game to buy. If a college hoops game were released in January, or even late December when the holiday tournaments are played, the focus starts to shift to college hoops.

That's what I was thinking. Hardcore college fans will all buy the game when it comes out in November. Then, coupled with a price drop to around $40 in mid-late February, roll out some advertisement during games and on ESPN, and boom. Second wave of game sales come through. Throw up some advertising on the 360 dashboard/PSN Marketplace and their little scroll thing in the top corner, and all those who missed release day/forgot to pick up the game have the thought planted, and those who get the big up from March Madness see a price drop and flock to stores.

Weird that we are now almost two years down the road from when this was written, and we still havent heard any concrete information. I think it's safe to say well just have to cross our fingers and hope the next generation of consoles is the answer to our prayers.

A good way to look at it is that a new set of consoles means a fresh slate for college basketball games. Wouldn't surprise me one bit if we saw a game announced for 2014 or 2015.

Pretty sure they don't have NCAA license anymore.
