Nah..."nerf" is bringing someone's rating down in a sports game (usually substantially). There's really no commonly accepted term that means the opposite, but people usually say "juice".

Not trying to start anything but yes, he is playing better in almost every facet of the game. FG%, 3P%, and rebounds are all up while maintaining being a great defender, good in the post, and one of the best passers in the game. 99 OVR doesn't mean a player is perfect, it just means he's darn near it and in this case it's very true.

Whoever considers 2K's ratings seriously should seek some help.

Still no "closer" sig for Joe Johnson? He's been Brooklyn's go to man down the stretch!

I think that is enough to warrant an upgrade back to his original rating of 92 that he had when the game was released.
Pretty sure his 3 PT rating has been updated since the game came out...he is an 86 right now. How high should he be?

He makes 3's like they are layups. I played a guy this morning who just threw up 3's with Melo....he was making them with Andre Iguodala right in his face...he made 2 with Iggy and Wilson Chandler doubling him and contesting the shot.

Melo is just fine.

His OVR rating is what it is because he doesn't defend and is avergaing just 2.4 assists per game.

As for this "Melo plays defense now" argument from Knicks FANACTICS....umm...not really. And even though he may be playing a little better defense this year, mainly because he isn't FAT and out of shape like he used to be, he still has a LOOOOONG way to go before he gets to the Wade/LeBron level.

These guys have been on MULTIPLE 1st Team All-NBA Defense teams....Melo has not. And won't be any time soon.

The pass ratings also sway things...Melo has a high usage rate and is surrounded by supporting talent....and averages 2.4 assists per game. If anything his current Pass rating is probably too high. But oh well...

They didn't...he has an 80. And they gave it to him because he shot 37% from 16-23 feet last year....DeMarcus Cousins shot 40%, Aldridge shot 43%...and we see their MED shot ratings.

Griffin's rating was about right. Everyone just remembers seeing the shooting struggles he had in the Playoffs.

Josh Smith shot the same 37% last year from that range...what's his MED rating? And Smith is now down to 27% from that range THIS SEASON, while Griffin is UP to 39%...

So whose ratings need to CHANGE.....uh...I would say Josh Smith's.

As long as Joe Johnson, Deron Williams, and Brook Lopez still all play for the Brooklyn Nets....what is there to "LOL" about???

And as long as Andray Blatche plays like he is and Wallace plays as poorly as he is....there is at least a DEBATE over who the 4th best player on that team is.

What am I missing? And what are you "LOL"-ing at?

Also in the midst of this winning streak by the Nets since PJ took over for Avery Johnson....Walace is playing almost 7 minutes LESS per game.

Wallace playing LESS minutes = more Nets WINS.....

So don't act like he is part of the reason for their recent success.

I know Thompson has improved his output, but has he really changed...or is he just racking up stats for a pitiful Cavs team now that Andy is out and TT is the only legitimate frontcourt presence left for the Cavs....as Tyler Zeller is a stick figure who doesn't rebound.

I could see a small boost to Tristan...but not much. I think it would deserve more attention if the Cavs were winning...at least a little...and I'm a Cavs fan.

Yeah...ignore that dude....he also apparently thinks Gerald Wallace is BETTER than either Joe Johnson, Brook Lopez, or Deron Williams....as he "LOL'd" at the statement that Gerald Wallace was the 4th best player on the Nets.

I'd like to know which of those 3 "Red Kafe" thinks Gerald Wallace is better than....I really would.
