Have they said anything about if the new detentions at Petco and Safco will be in the game?

Everyone is technically a customer or potential customer and has the same rights as anyone else to express how they feel about the product.

$60 is not a trivial amount of money. Multiply that by all the people who buy the game each year and that is a lot of money. I feel everything bears discussion when it comes to products like this.

The main issue that caused these discussions is that there will only be ONE The Show game each year and it typically feels like users don't have a lot of input in the changes Sony decides to do each year. Like beginner mode, was anyone on here really begging for this? Probably not, and seeing things like this makes people feel "Well why the hell didn't they add this if they were willing to allocate resources to that stupid thing." The dev team does take a lot of input from the fans, but at the end of the day we have no actual power to make development decisions on the game each year. We might be able to influence them, but SCEA an Sony have the final say in what warrants money to be spent on it. So when the fact sheet comes out there will always be people mad, people happy, and others that just don't care because they game will be out in two months and whatever their complaint is doesn't matter to a game that's nearly done.
In the bold is where you are being short sighted. OS is not the sole target audience, actually we are more of the minority in the whole picture. While many here may scratch their head as to why something like that was implemented there was a bigger audience outside of OS that strongly felt the need for it. We are fortunate that SCEA comes here and feeds our hunger for the ultimate baseball simulation but there also needs to be a balance that satisfies the larger buying audience as well.

Anyways, I know the majority of us are super excited for '13, regardless of what was added or left out.
Like Cubfan said, people come on here to discuss the game with SCEA.

You can't expect all to be hunky dory all the time, like Woodstock from 69'. We're not going to hold hands and dance in circles singing to love, peace and happiness. People will have questions and issues with things that have or have not been done. While this is a thread for us to clap for all the great things we anticipate, it's also one to ask and question about things not mentioned.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think the mods are bothered by this. That's part of why they're on here. To answer questions and explain things they can explain. They get mad when threads go off topic like I'm doing right now

MLB 13' franchise player progression? In the past there were issues where high quality players were available as FA after a few years of playing because of rapidly progressing youngsters. Has this progression bug been resolved?

Are you serious with your bolded statement here? The Show users have more input and the devs listen and incorporate feedback on this product more than any other game I can think of. They go to great lengths to do this. Just because they can't possibly get to everything everyone wants in a yearly cycle, people hold it against them.

$60 is a steal for the amount of content and play time packed in this product and people act as if they are owed more and more and more.

SMH.

There was only one, true Woodstock and it didn't happen in the 1970s.

OK, so name a video game developer that takes more community input or makes themselves more accessible to their userbase.

I agree with this, plus, MLB2K was on the verge of NOT making a 2013.
So where do all those people go? MLB The Show! How to they learn to transition? Through Beginner mode!

Now 2K has gotten the MLB contract and is releasing a 2013. So what! If you dont want to play the Beginner mode, you dont have to. Never did!
