I hope for the exact opposite. More bars less numbers. Shouldnt be able to quantify a skill to an exact number. But it seems they implemented both this year. So we both get disappointed (or both get what we want..kinda?)

I have a mixed feeling about generated counts... on one hand it's an absolutely necessary and desirable feature to enjoy long seasons of baseball. On the other hand, if count generation is truly random, I think it will probably not play good simulation baseball.

Few people realize this it seems, but in RTTS, there's this teammate playing watch mode called "Result Play" which basically runs the game in generated counts. I'm fond of this since I can feel like my player is actually playing in the sequence of events that lead to his own at bats. Feels like playing a team sport.

I'm actually not sure the count generation there is rigorously based on player ratings and all... it feel fine, the game balance feels fine, but don't really know how good simulation baseball it plays really... if the game goes in that generated count direction, I do hope the simulation aspect of baseball is not compromised though (meaning low BB/9 pitchers tend to go to 3-X counts much more often thatn high BB/9 pitchers, for example). I want generated counts to be implemented carefully, not hastily.

In place of generated counts, however, my own preferred mode is "pitch forward/rewind" feature.... instead of forwarding the counts to where an event happens, the gamer can use some shortcut button to skip a pitch or not... if the pitch is skipped, it's simulated to the next count when the ball is not in play... and if something happens, it just happens. I like that approach better since depending on the game situation, you want to sometimes slow down the game to pitch-by-pitch pace, but the rest you just want to breeze through.

i don't think you have that much flexibility with generated counts.

Re: MLB 13 The Show Fact Sheet

Sorry if this has been answered already. I searched the thread and didn't see any mention of it.

Will the push/pull system be applied on every player (created players, RTTS, etc) via an attribute setting, or will only players with spray chart data have this?

It would be awesome to be able to make a slap hitting leadoff hitter or a first baseman who has the pull shift on him every at bat in RTTS or Franchise.

Re: MLB 13 The Show Fact Sheet

I'm one of those guys who absolutely adores little (ahem big) details like grass color and dirt and stadium/uniform accuracy. Even I would never have the guts to say, nor the stupidity imo, that looking at that list brings nothing to mind that I would be interested in or care about seeing in the game.

Literally, they just put some major finishing touches on some of the most broken systems in the game. I can't even believe people are whining there isn't enough on there AND we still have community day and whatever comes from that. How can you NOT care about animations, franchise, controls, etc.? What friggin' game are you even playing? Literally they just made this game 5x better for me than 12 imho as long as I can see notable improvements in uni/stadium accuracy as well.

I just ate 10 homemade mexican-style tacos. I'm gonna cry now.

Couldn't agree more. What they have done is immense and will totally improve the game.

However I am also a guy that would like to see stadium, grass and uniform improvements. I'm sure they will have made improvements in that area too even though its not mentioned.

That's one heck of a list. Sounds like they made some substantial improvements all around.

I just dont see it. How is the game 5 times better? To me it seems like the same game with some improvements to franchise mode, more stances, and two new modes Im pretty sure I'll never play (like hr derby) in playoff mode and their version of mlb today. Im excited that franchise will be improved, but Ive never completed a single season of franchise anyways, so I doubt the improvements will make a huge difference.

I see incremental improvements, yes, but I dont see anything revolutionary. Revolutionary would be signing the rights for MiLB players and including a full real minor league roster.
