...so I guess they aren't fixing the freezing issues with 2K12.

I have 2k12 on pc which I love and I can keep working with work-arounds. I completely get what you are saying.

Don't set up a make-believe reality that is just going to be the basis for complaining about something no one should have expected. This is going to be 2K12 with a paint job. Personally, I'm fine with that.
Well if u look at the show since 2010, there wasn't to many drastic changes. I'm not looking for perfection, but the fundamentals done as close too the real thing as possible. 2k needs too get the fielding glitches and animations done right, along with the uniform colors. I love the pitcher/hitting interaction and mechanics. The commentary and presentation is top notch. I love the dynamic rating system for players. There's a lot too like about the MLB2k series. They just need too polish what was wrong with 2k12, and if they do, MLB2K13 will be a gem of a game in my humble opinion. LETS GO 2k!!!!!

On what platform? I was unaware of freezing issues with 2K12 on the 360. I've put hundreds of hours into the game, and I don't recall a single freeze.

On 2k12 pc there is the MLB today freeze which has an easy work-around. I have also experienced freezes with custom rosters.

I was also experiences crashes prior to updating my video card drivers which some may not be doing.

All fairly easy work-arounds.

I'm not arguing that it can't be improved. There is plenty of work left to do. The issue is, 2K dropped the game and walked away. This was evident by the way they let MLB Today just die on the vine.

Until MLB came to 2K in December, I don't believe 2K had any intention of touching the franchise again. There is no reason to believe the game will sell significant units. Even if they thought it would sell as well as The Show, that is still far below what 2K would be interested in. The number of additional sales by doing what you suggest, which would be great, is just not going to enough to offset 2K's investment.

It would be great if I am wrong. But there is just no logical reason to expect 2K to invest any money in the game beyond what it takes to get up to speed for the new season. Best case scenario is that they are furiously working on 2K14 for the next gen consoles, and this is just a slight diversion to keep MLB happy.

You nailed it. Anyone who is expecting more than a roster update and some potential "patch-like" improvements is not being realistic and doesn't understand how companies operate and make decisions.

I have no problem with them offering 2k12 with a fresh coat of paint, bug fixes, moving the Astros over to the AL and proper playoff set-up. I do have a problem with them charging $60 for it.
