I was completely surprised with the Star Wars Xbox console. I was taken by surprise because our budget for my wife and I is $200. Apparently she and my in-laws and parents went in together to get it. I had put it or the Halo 4 console on my wish list as a joke because I knew they were over budget. Got all my stuff transferred from my old one but haven't been able to play any games yet, even my AC3 I got as well. Too busy playing with the kids and their toys

Also got a lot of gift cards, Best Buy, Barnes & Noble, Gamestop, Chick-Fil-A, Regal Cinemas. A mouse pad with pics of my daughter from her first Auburn game this past season, Duck Dynasty Season 1.

Best of all though was my daughter's (2+) reaction to her dollhouse that "Santa" had to assemble Christmas Eve.

I took that into consideration.

Honestly man, I don't want to sound preachy here... I really don't. But even taking out that $1,000, you're more fortunate than probably 99 percent of the world.

That's all I meant. At 31, I am learning each day how important perspective is. My brother got me a certificate saying I fed a kid for an entire year for $31. Food for an entire year... One kid... That's something, because I'll drop $31 on one dinner without even thinking twice about it.

Sad, but true. 99 percent of most people's Christmas hauls is literally nothing. Like I said, I'm not trying to preach, but yeah... This thread makes me think. I am just as guilty as the next person, but it is insane how spoiled we are here.

Re: Happy Holidays From OS, What Did You Get?

I absolutely love reading what everyone receives for Christmas. It's like the old days when me and my friends would see each other on Boxing Day and compare what we each got. I get excited for everyone.

Re: Happy Holidays From OS, What Did You Get?

RGIII's first SI Cover as a Redskin framed!!!
X360 (250GB model with Skyrim & Forza 4)
Halo 4
Madden 13 for X360
Charging station for X360
"Hail to the Skins" Long Sleeve Nike T
Redskins (Classic R Logo) Nike Hoody
Redskins Floor Mats for my new car
Redskins License plate cover
Cusinart Ice Cream Maker
Return Trip from wedding paid for by Future Mother in Law
People of Wal-Mart Desk Calender
Day planner for work
"Ted" Blu-Ray
"Dark Knight Rises" Blu-Ray
Couple of Argyle sweaters
A few other small things I can't remember.

The 360 was a real surprise as I had only mentioned in passing that I wanted to get one after the new year when more of the wedding was paid for. Love the ice cream maker, but it is a bad idea in the last two months before a wedding. Made a super rich peanut butter ice cream with whole milk and heavy whipping cream. It was divine. That thing is gonna be a problem in the future. The Redskins car stuff was what I wanted, for my new car. It was a good xmas for me, but I am glad it's over so we can focus on finishing up with the wedding.
