Check it, I can give Melo credit for what he and the Knicks are doing this year. It seems like he's FINALLY figuring out that one man can't win a championship.

But like I said, he's not going to just get an increase because his team is winning, it's just not going to happen. Like I said, let him play consistent defense and rebound effectively, then I gurantee he'll be in the high 90s overall wise.

Right now, for just having outstanding offensive ratings, his overall is pretty fantastic if you ask me. Couple that with his signature skills, and he plays like Melo does in real life.

Why do guys continue to come in these threads and argue about ratings? Especially the minimal differences. Arguing that Melo should be a 92 over 89 is almost splitting hairs. Playing with the 89 Melo would probably have very little difference if any. Alot of what Melo isnt has to be overrated to even get him a 90s rating anyway. We are talking about a player that isnt even an average defender or offensive playmaker. Melo is great at one thing, ISO ball and spot up shooting. Other than that why are we arguing that he should have ratings close to CP3, Durant, Dwight and Kobe.

Who gives a flip about Melo? Six pages of Melo crap. People are still able to abuse him online. Bumping him from 89 to 92 doesn't matter. He will still play the same.

But if you watched melo after Mike woodson came. His defense has greatly improved. From then, to the Olympics, to now his defense is much better than before. Still not an elite defender in ANY way. but he has improved. If i recall 2k12 even noticed and raised him back to a 90 and his defense increased in one update at the end of last season. But at the start of 2k12 he was rated a 91 and he played terrible defense at the start of 2k12. But i do agree with you. if melo does keep it up and his team keeps winning he willl be raised without question. especially if he can get his fg percentage up and take less jumpers.

Since Im a debater I'll go ahead and debate this for the sake of it. What on earth has Melo done this year that guys feel that he needs a boost above last year? I hope its not just because the Knicks are winning. If anything the Knicks are winning due to the overall team play and others stepping up IN SPITE of Melo not because of him. He's still shooting 44%, playing the same defense and avg 1.7 assist a game.

What has Melo ever done? No respect for him after I watched him quit on his team ( Nuggets) reg season vs Pistons in 04. Superstars don't do that. Jordan, Magic, Bird, and Zeke never quit on their teams no matter the situation.
