Everybody should be sh*tting bricks that courts and uniforms are getting uploaded synced down to your console.

A few years ago that would've blown y'alls mind.

It's like that Louis CK bit - how quickly the world owes you something you knew existed only 10 minutes ago (he was talking about internet on an airplane, but whatever).

I wonder if there is some software programming/coding that goes into roster updates, or do they just manipulate it like we do and upload it to their server. If its the 2nd option, well, I don't know why they can't get it right.

Louis CK is hilarious. But this has nothing to do with that bit. This is about expected support that's been going on for years, simple human mistakes, and lack of attention to promised (and easily implemented) features. Not about entitlement or technology.

I can see how satellite internet might cut out on an airplane. I wouldn't know how to fix that. But I'm pretty sure if I had two weeks to get an NBA roster correct from the last update, I could do that if I tried. I'm also pretty sure that when a major trade happens, the first thing I would do would be to make sure all the players involved in that trade are on the correct teams and it would take 5 minutes. I probaly wouldn't need an old version of the roster where I only assigned Harden to the Rockets, and then another version where I actually assign the players OKC got back in return.

Everyone on here has every right to speak what they expect. We were promised many things from 2K and yet again they are not delivering.
I'm not trying to defend 2k but it seems like everytime 2k releases any sort of info (and this goes back to before the game is released) people are already complaining about something. And I understand the whole "nothing will be changed of nothing is said" but it still comes off as people crying about something, which in some cases isn't even thr significant.

To me it's no surprise that 2k waited until opening day to do a roster update although I admit I was expecting to be accurate as of today. But for other problems that need to be patched we have no idea how easy it is to fix these problems, how long it takes, if fixing the problems will cause more problems, etc. even with roster updates there might be certain restrictions for play or other problems that arise. I'm not defending 2k but I know that 2k can't fix every single complaint people have as fast as everyone would like them too.

Just to make sure I understand this correctly. 2K releases a roster early this morning. All of us OS users, who are 2K fans, noticed what a joke of a roster update this was and we let the community know. 2K then advises they accidentally released the wrong roster, yet, there were very recent transactions on it. Then 2K advises the correct roster will be released tomorrow morning.

2K flat out lied to all of us because if they "accidentally" released the wrong roster then realized it, they would immediatly release the correct roster.

I am very happy they are releasing a supossedly good roster tomorrow morning however, lying to us is a completely different story. I work in Law Enforcement and I absolutely cannot stand liars. Admitting a mistake was made is the correct direction, however taking another 24 hours to release the correct roster is a flat out lie. We all know you read and realized we are tired of the broken promises and hopefully things will be different from here on out but absolutely do not lie to us. Be blunt, you were lazy and already got your money so here is a roster change that even Ray Charles could accomplish.

Or they did the transactions first and then did whatever changes they were going to do second. Then they released version prior to the changes by mistake. They are taking the day to release a newer version because its right in their standard protocol to release them at that time. Considering i read post after post on this board how the 2K team doesn't listen i find it ironic that you guys think they were so worried about what you think to 1) lie 2) quickly post another version.

Could they be redoing it and saying its the wrong version because it poor? i guess so. Based on their history of craptastic roster updates and not being timely. I'll guess not. I'll take them at their word and expect a less than stellar roster update tomorrow when i can read another thread about how 2K doesn't listen.
