Gameplay is realistic but the speed of game is questionable. Too many games are played where 100 shots are taken.
I dont miss the historical modes because You can an association mode withh all historical teams.
With that said everything about 2k13 is awesome.

I don't agree that the legends need to go and all of that.

They werent even given any attention this year

More creative modes with yesterday's and todays stars are always a selling point.. Case in point it would've been great to market a dream team fiba mode or the screenshot we saw where they had current players greatest games or something of that degree

Online is and always will be secondary to the SP experience. You can't add all of that stuff without the foundation

Im all for the legends being removed. Im 30 and its cool for nastalgia but i think its ran its course. Especially with them being just play now teams. Im ignorant to exactly how these games get made but no legends would open up a new money stream and more focus on the players likeness and movement to make an even greater game.

Historic modes is a big deal not so much adding teams from 50's 60's and 70's because no one really playes with elgin baylor and the 60-61 lakers but playing with teams from 80's through 00's against today's teams brings generation of gamers together and adds replay ability before and after the NBA season.

I can play with my favorite team growing up against my16 year old little cousin fav team right now instead of arguing if Allen Iverson sixers from 2001 would beat derrick rose bulls in a 7 game series or jordon and scottie vs lebron's and d-wade at Thanksgiving dinner we just set it up on 2k thats the appeal of video games to me anyways making the impossible possible bringing your fantasies to real life. (Myplayer?)

I also agree with dream team being over sold. Only being able to play a quick match vs team USA gets old instantly but I think if they would have expanded or scratched that and brought in two more recent historic teams to go along with the 2001 sixers with players that they could aqquire rights to ( so no Barkley or Reggie) but maybe........... Vince carter and t-mac raptors, k.g spreewell and Sam Cassel t-wolves, ray Allen and Sam Cassel bucks, Larry Johnson and Marcus camby knicks, Tim hardaway and Alonzo heat, 1999-2000 lakers I could go on and on but you get the point all those players except spreewell are already in the game then historic mode would not feel like a dying mode that should be scrapt but instead a mode with teams that this generation of gamers could relate to and would want to play with trading those players to their teams for offline association, compete in ranked classic quick match, recent matchups for current players greatest games etc.

So yea imo definitely not time to scratch that mode. In fact I believe the opposite add a team or two every year and keep the mode going. Small percentage or not. It was the late 90's early 00's gamers that got this franchise going show us some love don't throw us to the curb 2k just saying

I think it's an over-generalization and a false assumption to downplay the importance of the historical modes and teams to gamers, especially those 30 and older. And don't go dissin' Elgin Baylor and Jerry West! I love playing with those guys.

No disrespect I may have played with the 70's version of the Lakers with elgin, jerry, and wilt a few times but elgin and jerry lakers w/o wilt is tough to win with. Imo

Re: OS Fact or Fiction: NBA 2K13 Edition

Playing with the Dream Team is great when you're playing Team-Up. I've started about 15-20 Quick Match Team-Up matches (only finished about 5 of them) and that sensation you get when you see Team USA vs the Dream Team after seeing the Bobcats vs the Hornets so many times is great, and even greater when you realise that YOU'RE going to be controlling MJ! I've had this happen twice to me now. Both times I played in the match up I had Jordan.
