It wouldn't be a problem if Raymond wasn't staring Stafford down, but the fact that he should know exactly where the ball is going because he's waiting for Stafford to make the first move is what, IMO, makes this a huge problem.

Raymond should of broke to the outside of the receiver since he was watching Stafford until he released the ball.
Ok thanks for clarifying. I will send this over, along with your statement, over to the team.

Not to mention if you are going to have Trey, during the draft, talk about how a rookie DE may project better as an OLB... I mean, c'mon.
Yeah I would agree. Completely changing positions will have to be something that we look into for the future.

I haven't even got into the game yet, so hopefully this title update will put me at a good starting point.

Others have touched on this in the past and I am bringing it up again but why not just get rid of predetermined positions all together? Meaning, have positions on the depth chart but for team management/personnel just have players, no designated positions. As far as the CPU/AI doing depth charts, still have the OVR for each position that displays when players are placed there on the depth chart but NOT in the player management screen.

And if I play offline why can't I do whatever I want? It's my game that I paid $60 for. Whatever I do doesn't affect anyone else. Heck, I couldn't even use my last name because it was too close to a filtered word.
I have to disagree. From a developer standpoint it makes perfect sense. Why have two separate modes with two different set of "rules" or code. The key word here is continuity. The developers want continuity between those that play online and those that play offline. It makes it easier to patch, since what you do with one mode will change the other, and easier to develop since they only need to develop for one and then copy it to an offline format.

The problem is with implementation, as I feel the developers haven't done a great job developing a balanced game that works for both offline and online players.

It has it's pros and cons but it doesn't necessarily not make sense.

On another note, those videos of the zone defense are scary ugly. I never noticed it before but that's some pretty bad coverage. I think the problems have to do with the new read and react and since they're not programmed to be "psychic" anymore it's hard to program it right. Hopefully a 4th path can address it as well as playbooks.

If a 4th patch is confirmed, I'll hang onto the game. But if play calling remains untouched until next year I'll have to sell it away for NHL or more likely NBA2K.

That is not necessarily the issue. The issue is goals, recorded stats, and the new ratings (production, durability, etc.)

All I want is to control all 32 teams, please, let me. Is this possible to fix or not? Did I waste $60?

Just wanted to comment on the bold because the issue, as I see it, is that you can't fundamentally address zone coverage or coverage period without also addressing other bedrock areas.

I won't go into some long diatribe but we hear all the time how defensive pressure and coverage success go hand and hand as well as we all can clearly see the issues with player movement in Madden. Without addressing those key areas, among others like lacking transitional animations, skill differential through ratings, etc, anything they do to make coverage more effective will be fundamentally wrong.

That goes to this disconnect so many speak about all the time. Until the creators of Madden commit to emulating football processes, the results in the game will be "off".
