Idk I mean, it was only 20 dollars and a digital download, so I doubt they were going to have respectable numbers. My point is we will never know because the game wasn't released, so we don't really know how many people actually still care about Live.

Fifa sells 6-8 million copies in a release window(a month or so after release)

2k sells 2-3mil after a year.

I think they'll stick around.

They don't have a contract just with nba, they have a contract with the whole eas.

EA has been quoted as saying they took a year to look at Elite and see what was usable...completely ignoring Live 10. Also completely ignoring that many people preferred Live 10 to 2k10.

We do know that EA owns the code to 10 so thats not a question.
Hey even if EA did own the rights to Live10, its still a completely different team brought in to handle the game now. That new team is being thrown into a situation of handling a engine they did not create, how far do you think they will get? Thats like asking for a blimpy sandwish at a subways restaurant, subways does not have that correct information needed to continue to make that blimpy snadwich....

You cant evolve or adapt on a game engine without its original maker or source...it will be a bootleg effort....without the real team, call it bootleg live10

You got insight into the contracts and the various clauses?

Wow. Can't say I'm surprised. What is the NBA's opinion on this? Two straight games that have been cancelled. Wow, millions of dollars down the drain for EA.

P.S. In the past I have doubted Mike Wang's ability to lead a team to a good game. I always thought he was one dude but after seeing that even with leadership change, and no game. I am a Mike Wang believer.

Trying to use that engine without the brain child Wang might be like trying to utilize/develop Tony Stark tech without Tony Stark..In the wrong hands it could prove disastrous.
